Not me, but my elbow hurts.
Perhaps we are not as sturdy as our bikes?

Current injured list, add as you see fit:

0tto Rax: vertebrae, not sure how

A.Winthrop: pelvis, ribs (dog encounter while on a Centurion)

JunkYardBike: foot, not sure how

jbchybridrider: just had a spinal fusion.

I've got a mild concussion from my Bianchi-bending crash a couple weeks ago, but I think I'm on the mend.

I am always injured, never fully functional. I am still recovering from a compressed vertebrate (6 months now) and will always have limited functionality and pain in left knee due to femur surgery to shorten it (6 years now).

Bikes: See my signature

No ride injuries - constant tendonitis and other issues from age and years of weekend warrior softball. Scheduled in a month to have a bursa sac removed from the front of my right knee. That will lay me up for at least a week (depends if I can do the trainer with stitches on the front of the knee). Otherwise I may have to do long walks while it's healing.

Only if you're not having it removed for aerodynamic reasons.

Bikes: enough bikes to qualify for Hoarders......

Presently injured:

All my OLD injuries are returning as arthritis, does that count? A few collapsed disks too.
As an auto mechanic I would be more surprised to NOT be injured

I broke my diet, does that count??

Seriously, Get Well Soon to the 'presently injured' listed above.

Anyone else notice that the older you get, the longer it takes for injuries to heal??

Well it barely counts but I broke the end of my elbow off, the part that attaches to the tricep, while on a ride earlier this year. I had to ride home over the GW Bridge into NYC with it.

I still have some flexability issues and my arm is nowhere near as strong as the other. I have a feeling it's going to be a long time before it's 100% better.

Yeah, I hurt my back. Again. Last year I badly ruptured a disk and didn't ride all winter. Last night I bent over slightly to lift a jacket off the back of a chair, and.. OW! I don't know how or why. It's not as bad as last year. Hopefully I'll be all right after a week or two.

Recovering from inguinal hernia repair, I was in denial for quite some time...I did not want surgery. What an irritating thing hernias are, mine was one of the painful types that really limited what I could do, that's why I had the surgery as soon as I could... once I finally admitted defeat. Plus all the other little injuries and pains I've acquired through years of self abuse (fun)

Arthritis in my lower back. Flipped a sand rail on nude beach when I was a kid and cracked L1 and L2 vertebrae. The injuries healed, the doc said I would develop Arthritis on those broken bones in 20-30 years. He was right.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

3 months out from a "grade III acromio-clavicular joint separation" (aka "wrecked shoulder"). It kept me from working for two months, still feels "odd" but seems to be on the mend. The longest ride I've done since the injury is about 40 miles.

Currently nursing a broken rib courtesy of my top Kung Fu student. Bad back among other problems. However, every time I think about feeling sorry for myself I think about the swimmer I coach with Cerebral Palsy who has had brain tumors, strokes, and a million other major issues, but faces every day and every workout without a complaint and with a smile on her face.

I have a friend in town, a fella my age that has had polio, is nearly blind since birth and had his knees simply fall apart. He lives in constant howling pain. I maintain his walkers for him. I think Next must make those things.

Life is brutal sometimes.

Bikes: roadsters, club bikes, fixed and classic

The cat scan of my right knee shows little cartilage, it's bone on bone. The surgeon approved knee replacement but I chickened out. I'll manage with pain killers for a few more years before stuffing a boat anchor into my body. The technology is advancing quickly and maybe future designs will last longer than the current estimated 10 years of service.

But as noted, life can be much worse.
