1995 Cannondale SR300

Just a few questions on the bike; looking at picking one up locally. From the pics, the bike looks amazing. I am going to see it in a few days, and was wondering if there was anything specific I should look out for on this bike.

I know it has an all aluminum fork; is there any concern with this?

I am a def in the clyde realm; will this bike have any problems supporting me?

Thanks!

Bikes: 1974 Schwinn Paramount, 1980 Raleigh Competition GS, 1986 Vitus 979, 1988 Trek 360, 1991 Trek 7000 MTB, 1999 Burley Rumba tandem

Probably the biggest issue is the shifters, make sure they work in all gears. It'll cost you $50 or so to have Jim McVey repair them, he did mine and they came back working fine.

AFA will it support you - I reckon the frame won't be the issue. The wheels, maybe; mine has 32 spoke wheels on Mavic rims (not SUP); that *could* be an issue. Keep the tires inflated!

As far as I know the shifters are RSX downtubes; do these suffer the same issue as you noted?

Bikes: Too many to list here check my signature.

If your worried about the fork I don't thingk is should be an issue unless you are well over 300lbs.

I guess 16 Victor is talking about having someone fix his brakelever/shifter integrated system aka "Brifters"

Sweet; I am sure he is talking about the brifters.

I am sure the aluminum fork would be fine; I know some others have not had a very strong reputation!

gt eunuch, There's nothing to worry about. If it fits, it's good to go.
