To continue this thought.....I am looking for a current production wool or wool blend jersey, no reproduction team logos or maybe just tastefully small (sorry DeMarchi, I have several of your stuff, but not looking for those retro jerseys...) Does anyone have a current listing of some sources, or suggestions for a company that has a decent palette selection? Some of the past suggestions are no longer viable, like Road Holland, the Cimicoppa link seems to be dead now, Glacier nice but no selection, etc.....I could check the bay but not really looking to wear someone else's worn jersey. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks. I will have a look at the "Woolistic".

Oregon Cyclewear - highest quality & best prices on merino wool cycling jerseys

Buy one size larger as it might shrink. I really like their product. My problem was washing in the machine caused it to shrink too much. It is possible to stretch back out but not all the way. Be prepared to allow it to dry for more than 24 hours on a rack.

Thanks, I will take a look. I hand wash and try to air dry (weather permitting...) all my cycling gear anyway, so that is not an issue.

Love this! I've been looking on eBay as well, and was wondering about acrylic content...not worth it?

I'm another allergic to wool. It was never an issue for me growing up and my mom knit me many sweaters, but a few years of acetone and fiberglass resin changed that.

I do have one wool jersey I wear occasionally; a classic Italian style long sleeve black Raleigh jersey. I wear it for very long winter rides when I can isotale it from my skin with one or more thermals. (It is an acrylic/wool blend. I have mixed feelings there. Not 100% the good stuff, but it holds it's shape and does far better with weight in the pockets that the 100%.)

I ended up with one of these and it is incredibly comfortable.

Very little if no stretch after a wash.

Wish they made a long sleeve version.

Once you go 100% Merino wool baby you'll never want to go back

sold a few (Nitto) I wish I had back and need to drop some tonnage to wear the ones I still have come fall but I love the feel of a good Merino wool jersey. My all time favorite wool sweater was a DeMarchi I got on sale from Nashbar back in the day and literally wore until it was falling apart.

Cima Coppi is still around - Cima Coppi - Wool Cycling Clothing Custom Made in Asturias, Spain

Ibex makes some nice jerseys - https://www.ibex.com/

Eleven Velo are custom so you can pick the color - https://www.eleven.cc/

If you want Sportwool (which is what Road Holland were made with) then it's hard to beat Torm - https://spcycles.com/torm

Thanks Choke, I saw a good Ibex candidate but it seems to already be out of their catalog, they seem to stock things as a "limited release"! Torm may be the answer, even with shipping from the UK they seem to fit the bill.

OK, found and ordered an Ibex "Spoke" 2 tone Merino reduced to $90, so of course I ordered a DeMarchi "Classica" sportwool version for good measure.

Don't forget Kucharik. They are still in business. Bicycle clothing wool jersey kids winter children club/team apparel. - Kucharik

California and west coast cyclists of a certain age will remember when they were one of the main sources of cycling clothing. My first club jersey was a wool Kucharik. My first cycling shorts were wool Kuchariks.
