My Baby is BROKEN!!! shiffle sniffle :(
In an effort to jumpstart things and get ready to work on my Rigi, I put my '87 Sport SX in the stand to change the wheels. I decided to put the fabulous 105SC/Wolber wheels I got from Echo (thanks again) on it since the hubs are both original and the wheels are from '87.
Everything was going fine until I took her ot of the stand and happen to look down. That is when I saw this!!
While this may not be a fancy schmancy Italian bike it is my first new bike and therefore my first Bianchi. I am so upset
The worst part is up until about two weeks ago I had the same frame in a different color!! Then I had to go and sell it on ebay!

Ok I'm thoroughly confused by this sentence. Bianchi isn't Italian? This bike is new? It's your first Bianchi??

Oh, that is a bummer!
On the bright side, you have a good excuse to buy a new bike now!

This was sourced in the Orient, I can't remmeber anymore if it was Japanese or Tiawanese. Yes Bianchiis Italain but they sourced bikes from the orient since the '70s atleast.

Ouch! Sorry BG.
Take comfort in your other babies today. But the beauty of steel is that you can send it to Cyclart or someone else and they'll fix it good-as-new (or better.)

Thats too bad BG, always hard to lose a favourite bike but at least you have a full set of components on hand and can look forward to finding a nice new frame to mount them all on.

Oh bummer! I am sorry to see that BG...
I don't even know how that happens (Apart torsional loading from forcing a stuck post). Maybe there was some micro-crack to start with, and oxidation did the rest based on the red rust tell-tale.

I really am sorry for your loss... I was just trying to inject a little levity.
I know if it was me, I'd be on the phone with framebuilders, getting that stay repaired/replaced.
Good luck in whatever you choose!

Sorry 'bout your baby, BG. But how did that happen? With my knowledge of physics I can imagine all sorts of frame "malheur", but not this. No sir.
