Mystery post

I've been looking for a cheap long seat post for one of my pending projects and decided to buy this one on the bay.

Any idea if this actually indeed is vintage and what brand it is?

Looks like the same clamping system that came on my wife's 2006 Lemond. You'll like it, best I've used as far as ease of adjustability goes.

Bikes: Cheltenham-Pedersen racer, Boulder F/S Paris-Roubaix, Varsity racer, '52 Christophe, '62 Continental, '92 Merckx, '75 Limongi, '76 Presto, '72 Gitane SC, '71 Schwinn SS, etc.

That looks like one of the common, more-offsetted alloy 2-piece Taiwan posts from the 1990's.

That's considered vintage by many sellers now, even if they want you to believe it's old and rare.

I would be semi-surprised of there weren't a mfg date stamped on the shaft down where the size is also stamped in.

My guess is it's a Kalloy variant, I've had a couple of these.

Taking a look in back, I have 2 just like it: dated "KI" (K1?) and "G 92", but not actually branded. So early 1990's it is.

Bikes: 2 many 2 fit here

I think I have one of those, or a close relative. Definitely not vintage. Nothing wrong with it as a seatpost though.
