Thank you Frank !

I was going to put this over there on the Tire Saver thread but figured since I had been remiss in mentioning it I'd do a separate thread to thank Frank the Welder. If it hadn't been for Frank sending me some 1/16th stainless welding rod to use as rub strips for my tire savers, I'd still be using brass, still do for some, and Jan Heine might've dismissed my tire scrapers out of hand. As it is, he ordered a bunch of them. For which I'm grateful. And grateful to Frank too for being so generous. I tried stainless rod from the hobby shop when I started out making these but the stuff was so stiff I couldn't bend it into the shapes I needed. Turns out 308 welding rod is just a tad softer so I can at least make the rub strips out of it. OK.

Thank you Frank!

I'll state it here as well as on the for sale section, if any of you guys that have bought tire savers from me in the past, and thank you all, and found that the brass rub strips have worn out already, I'll be happy to send you a set of stainless replacement legs if you like, for just the cost of postage.

Thanks

Scott

Bikes: Many

I listed them in the for sale section. "used welding rod, one end burnt, the other not, many available" and yours was the only response. You are welcome.

....and good Karmic elixir.

It's generosity when you send me something.

It's cleaning house when I send you something.
