Shifters and hubs compability ?

Hi,i have campagnolo super record rear derailleur from 1987's and c-record syncro-I shifters from 1988's,also have record hubs from 1980's.

My questions are:

Is record hub also support 7sp freewheel or is it just support 5 and 6 sp ?
Is super record rear derailleur just support 7 sp ?

I am thinking of buying 7 sp regina freewheel for record hubs but i am not sure about compability.

By the way i am thinking of using syncro shifters just in frinction mode.

Best Regards.

Yes all of those will work with 7 speeds, however you will need to redish the wheel if moving from 5 or 6 (move the rim farther right of center to make room between the hub and dropout for an extra sprocket)

Syncro was finicky. It was intended to work with most Campi RD and everyone's freewheels so it was never really crisp like Suntour or shipmano indexing. Also the notched insert in the shifter needs to match the FW.

But if i move the hub for an extra space is there a problem with the balance ? cuz rear hub gets close to other side ?

Thanx for the answers, they are really helpful.
