Multi Generational Bike Build?
So... I have a build I'm being driven mad over. It's a late 2000's Ridley Cheetah Team TT Bike. Has the serial number 0000006 on the BB shell, and was painted for the Adler team from NYC. I had some NOS Record 8/9 bits in the garage + NOS Campy wheels and decided they would look good on the bike, but have had some reservations after installing the parts because they're not period specific. BTW, the bars are cinelli angel (have an unused pinup) but need the black 8 spd. bar end shifters if I decide to continue.
Looking for insight, and what you would outfit this bike with... Period-specific Record or continue in the same direction?

SC, Build it the way YOU want it. Nothing wrong with either approach, period or modern, and either will go well with what you're working with.

Thanks Brad. I'm going to continue my Campy Record 8 speed build. It's just hard trying to justify $500 for a dated, but not yet vintage derailleur set...
