27" wheel with SA 3 spd wheels

Does any company make a set of 27" alloy rimmed wheels with a 3 speed IGH for a vintage Raleigh Grand Pirx

I think this might be a case of rolling your own. You might find some based on 700c (I think velo orange sold some for a while.)

If you go the vintage route, make sure to find a 36 hole Sturmey hub as a 40 hole 27 inch rim is pretty hard to find.

Got 3 companies you say one , the hub maker spokes and rims are 2 more manufacturers ..

IDK what the distribution is between Taiwan where a Lot of bike stuff is Made and Cambodia where you are ..

Sturmey Archer is Now a Taiwan based, division of Sun Race.

Over here, In spokes , Belgian Sapim, And Swiss DT sell well . as premium spoke brand names .

There are companies that will combine the parts to make a wheel ..

though doing that is also a job an individual can do by hand ..

Soma sells a 700c version Iggy 3-Speed 700c Rear Wheel | SOMA Fabrications
They also sell a matching rim for front, neither is inexpensive, but they will fit your Gran Prix with 35 or 38 mm tires for a smooth ride.

I had a friend build me a 700c wheel with CR-18 rims around an SA hub. Buddy of mine did pretty much the same thing with 27 inch rims. Worked out great.

Bikes: Current 79 Nishiki Custum Sport, Jeunet 620, notable previous bikes P.K. Ripper loop tail, Kawahara Laser Lite, Paramount Track full chrome, Raliegh Internatioanl, Motobecan Super Mirage. 59 Crown royak 3 speed

I have seen a few sets of new IGH 3sp 700c with the shimano nexus hubs. Yet as others have said you best option is to find nice vintage SA 3speed hub and build a set of 27inch or 700c wheels to match your bike it can be done for $100-200+ for a set depending on how nice of wheels you want.

As others have said, your best route is to find a shop that can build the wheel you want. Any good bike shop should be able to do this for you.

Harris Cyclery offers 700C wheels with 3-speed hubs: 622 (700c) Fixed/Single/Internal Gear and 27" wheels: 630 (27 inch) . It would be straightforward to put a 27" rim on a 3-speed hub.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.

I've seen a couple for sale on the 'bay in the last few years (I was looking for a 5 or 7 speed IGH built onto a 27" wheel). Varying quality, for sure, but never very expensive.

Here's a pair (in steel) for $68 shipped. Schwinn 27 034 x 1 3 8 034 Bicycle Wheel Set s 6 Bike Rims Sturmey Archer 3 SP Coaster | eBay

Roll your own, or have a shop build it. That way, you can get the rim you want, instead of the rim you're stuck with. A decent shop won't gouge you.

I had a pair of wheels built by a shop a while back. I supplied the hubs and they supplied the rims, spokes and labor. I t cost me $168.00. They scratched the hell out of the polished rims. I bought equipment and taught myself how to build wheels after that experience.

If you decide to get them built by a non-local bike shop, I can recommend both Longleaf Bicycles in New Hampshire and Calhoun Cycle in Minnesota -- I've bought wheels from both, by phone or internet, and been really happy with what I got. No financial relationship.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG

I will second Longleaf... I had him build me some wheels when he was still in NC. I build my own wheels now to get exactly what I want, when I want.
