These are about as fancy as I like them.

Is that fork bent?

I'm a little late to this party, but I had to share my lugs -- moons and stars, hand-carved by Glenn Erickson (same guy that did the snowflakes posted earlier in this thread): https://imgur.com/a/Tg2dU

Bikes: 1938 Raleigh Record Ace (2), 1938 Schwinn Paramount, 1961 Torpado, 1964? Frejus, 1980 Raleigh 753 Team Pro, Moulton, other stuff...

I cut one of these up, sliced and diced the lugs. T'weren't pretty. The seat tube and down tube didn't meet at the bottom bracket. It was a long time ago, but I'd guess they missed by 1/4".

Before calling out to lynch me, the bike was trashed in an accident. We were curious to see what was hidden under that fancy petticoat lug work.

Thanks! :-)

The bike was partially disassembled & reassembled many, many times to fit into a travel case, so over the years the seat post got really scratched up from wiggling it back and forth to get it in and out. There was a carved moon that broke off somewhere along the way (you can tell in the third pic where it used to be) and the rough edge contributed to the scratches, too.
