The weather is holding here, so I think I'll build my Kvale first.
There is an outside chance that I'll get to ride it before the snow flies.

Winter projects..Summer projects...It's always 100 degrees here. So you can call this an early Winter Project.
Mid 80's CIOCC Competion SL, in 60cm. Paint was in really nice shape, I had the fork rechromed, and new decals on fork only.
Parts:
3TTT Stem
3TTT Handle Bars
C-Record 27.2 Seat post
Campagnolo Ti Record 11 Speed Hubs 32hole, Wheelsmith Comp Spokes, Mavic SUP rims "Blue"
Continental GP4000SII 700cx25
Campgnolo Record 10
Record Ti Rear Derailleur
Record Front Derailleur in 28.6 (tough to find at a decent price)
Record Crank 175 53-39
Record 10 speed Chain
Record 10 Down tube index shifters
Chorus brakes cailpers
Mid 90's Campag aero Brake levers
Campag platform pedals
some generic Italian saddle I use on new builds just to go on shake down rides.
Before:

Crappy picture after the first ride, I'll take better pics later this week. Oh and it amazing how fast, and nimble it feels.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.
Just converted my 72 Super Course to a fixie, and am adding fenders, new bars and bar tape for winter riding.

I'll probably start a thread on homemade wood fenderage for those who've been thinking about doing such a thing. A table saw, some clamps, glue and varnish and you're in business.

Now with pictures...
Well, I did a count this morning 15 bikes total, 8 to sell, 6 completed and mine/my wife's, 1 to decide on.
I will likely tackle these first because they will be the most fun.
'91 Trek 750 - 20.5" frame, lugged, to convert to drops, I think:

Lemond Tourmalet (56" frame, Reynolds 525, needs paint, refurb):

'94 Trek 750 (19.5" frame, True Temper OX, great condition, just bought last night):

For me it's to fix any of the following, but being on the road for work and with two little ones at home, it will be difficult.
Commuter/College bike fixups to sell:
Ladies lugged Schwinn Traveler (half started)
DiamondBack low end hybrid
Schwinn High Sierra lugged mountain to mountain hybrid (small frame, swap to rigid fork)
Nicer Stuff:
Lemond Tourmalet (Frame paint in bad shape, components cleaning up well to sell)
'91 Trek Lugged 750 (convert to drops, wheels completely done)
Maybe a '94 Trek 750 will see tonight
Nicest Stuff:
Bruce Gordon Chinook (frame completely repainted/restored, have to decide to go period Shimano or newish Shimano)
And I want this to be the winter I start to build wheels again but wheel see.

I brush painted my first restoration, my white U08 and it looks good but to be honest the paint doesn't seem that durable. It was a latex based paint then I did the velocal labels and 3 coats of clear coat spray. What is your preferred method of repainting a frame? I have a Schwinn Super Le Tour 12.2 that I would like to repaint over the winter but using the best and most durable method.
Well, I already mentioned this somewhere else, but...
First, I'm taking this bike...

and stripping all the parts off it, oh, I already did that this weekend, so it looked like this:

and stripping all the paint off it (no worries; it's not original paint), and repainting it. I've actually got the fork in primer already, and the frame stripped down to bare metal, hope to spray some primer on that tonight.
Then I'm going to mix up a new shade of paint for it and start brushing that on in thin coats.
Meanwhile I'm going to overhaul all the parts that can be overhauled, clean all the parts that can be cleaned, and repaint some of them. I might even have the handlebar powdercoated.

I don't know how I'm going to bake this one, the sun isn't hot enough this time of year and it won't fit in the kitchen oven.

Yeah, that's always the way it goes. Last summer I painted my Holdsworth, brushing on Rustoleum and between coats letting it bake in a solar oven. Just a wooden box with a plexiglass lid, painted black inside; but in direct sun it got up to 250 F every afternoon for a couple weeks and really cured. That was pretty good, and I have high hopes for that paint. We shall see!

Yeh this time of year I guess it just doesn't get hot enough but I did not know that the high heat cures the paint. Great information.

I have 3 winter projects.
The first project is a 1987 Trek 560 that I bought as a frame set with bars stem and crankset. I am doing a parts bin build. I am still trying to decide if it will have 7 speed 105 shifting or Sante ? If I really like it I am building up a 9 speed Ultegra group that may go on it at some point. If I sell it will be 105. The Brakes are Dia Compe.
The second project is a definite keeper. 1987 Schwinn Voyageur, all original but for the front wheel that I was told was stolen. She needs a full overhaul but should clean up well. I have a front low rack waiting for me from another forum member.
The third project is overhauling my second Schwinn Circuit. All original but the upgraded Dura Ace 8 speed downtube shifters, rear derailer, with an 8 speed Dura Ace rear hub and cassette. Needs a good cleaning and some touch up paint. I have two of them. The other is built up with Tri color 8 speed components and is my main ride.
