Need Help Identifying a Schwinn

I recently came into possession of a "Schwinn" bicycle. I know that Schwinn bikes tend to be pretty valuable, but I'm not quite sure whether it's a true Schwinn since the serial number doesn't return any results. Could somebody help identify this bike? As far as I can tell, it's a 1982 Super Sport, but I know nothing else.

Your bike is a made in Japan by Panasonic Schwinn. the serial numbers on the Japanese made models are different than the Chicago, Mississippi, and Taiwan made Schwinns. Here is a link to the catalog page for the 1982 Super Sports. Yours does indeed appear to be from 1982. Nice bike.

Not all Schwinns are valuable. You have a nice one. Super sports were close to the top of the line. Should make a nice rider if it fits you. Pretty tall bike.

Incorrect premise. If anything, Schwinn made too many basic bikes (low value) and not enough higher value bikes. Fortunately, you have one of the better ones.

Bikes: Fillet-brazed Schwinns

According to the 3511 stamp in the headbadge this bike was built on Thursday December 17th 1981 as a 1982 model.
