This morning's 52-miler had over 1100 feet of climbing, according to Strava, putting my total for the month (so far) at 7737. I'll probably only add a hundred or so to that on Tuesday night's ride.

I had never kept up with feet climbed before so I didn't know if this would be possible to qualify for this forum. Especially since this is only my forst month back in the saddle. I live in a pretty hilly area, so I was able to reach, and exceed, the 6000 foot goal. I ended up doing 8 rides for a total of 130 miles and climbed 8352 feet for the month of July. I hope to get stronger and maybe break 10,000 feet next month.

I'd guess the collective "we" eclipsed the 100K' number. Going out on a limb here but we kicked that number in the arse eh?

I made my goal this month: 20,000 feet of climbing, 500 miles.
509.8 miles total
21,792 feet of climbing
12 rides
14 PR's

I missed a week due to a vacation, but all in all, a pretty good month.

07/04: 2,800' / 38.5 mi - Strava doesn't have all the data - I mistakenly left my garmin paused for several miles. full route here
07/06: 420' / 14.1 mi - Los Gatos Creek Trail with my wife
07/06: 680' / 6.0 mi - Old Calaveras climb to Sandy Wool lake
07/12: 240' / 21.9 mi - Commute
07/13: 120' / 19.4 mi - Commute
07/15: 100' / 3.5 mi
07/16: 140' / 12.8 mi - 1/2 Commute w/ Lunch ride
07/22: 80' / 5.0 mi - Ride with nephew
07/23: 550' / 27.5 mi - Commute
07/26: 690' / 28.3 mi - Commute
07/29: 175' / 9.6 mi - Ride with Mom & Kids

Goal: 200 mi / 7,000'
MTD: 188.3 mi / 5,995'

Didn't make either of my goals. Didn't have enough time on the weekends, and didn't have enough motivation during the week to commute much. Oh well, hopefully August will be better.

Although I didn't push myself as hard as I'd have liked to, I finally started losing weight again. I had hit a 6-month-long plateau - but I've lost about 6 pounds during July.

Well, I'm pleased (and a little proud) to report that I not only made the 6k goal, but exceeded it a bit at just over 7900 feet. This is a new personal record for me so I want to thank the OP for getting this started.

But for the folks that are checking inwith the big numbers... Over two- and three-times the thread goal.. Why rain on our parade with the taunts of riding far over this monthly goal in a single ride? Be smug about your prowess but consider giving us "100-watt wonders" a thread of our own...

Thanks again to the OP for putting this up as it was great fun and I'm much the better for taking up the challenge.
