Okay, I'm in once again. Goal is 260 miles, and with the added "bonus" of 26 miles that makes for a grand total goal of 286 miles for May.

Got 2 organized rides coming up in May; a 16 mile "Ride the Rock family fun" ride on May 11th and my 30 mile "Bike The Drive" ride on May 26th.

With warmer temps finally here, it should be a fun month of riding.

I'm down. I was going to pledge the same 300 that I did for April even though I'll be out of town for a full week this month. So hell with it, I'm going for 330 miles, the exact amount I accomplished in April, except with one less week to do it in May.

May goal is 1,500 miles and 50,000 ft of climbing. Have been averaging 1,000 miles a month for the last couple years so this is a big jump.

I'll aim for 125. I have been doing about 13 a day 3 times a week, and about 15-20 on the weekends (commuting to work, and family rides on the weekends). I never thought I'd be in for more than 100 a month...

I'm training for a metric century in June. Right now I'm at 30 miles a day, 5 to 6 times a week. My goal is to increase five miles every week till the actual century ride which should have me 55 miles right before the ride.

For this thread, my goal is 600 miles this month, but it will probably be closer to 700.

I am going to set the goal @ 500 miles + 10% = 550 miles. As a bonus I would like to shoot for the 1000km May Strava Badge, but I might be over reaching if the weather doesn't cooperate. April miles were 305.

Also for each week in the month of May I am setting a weekly goal of 150 miles.

Weightloss goal of 10 pounds. Apr 30, 2013 weight 254

Good luck everyone!

I'm getting some work done on the bike that will take a week apparently, well they want to hold my bike before they order parts, and then install of a 3rd gear up front will take like one day. Then I'll be able to do some climbing with it. Side benefit is that I'll be getting replacement bar tape and a replacement shifter for the one I just scratched up on a wipeout today.

Anyway, so I made 211 in April, I'm thinking if I can keep commuting, I can easily do 300. So:

300 + 10% = 330 miles

Will be my goal for the month. I'd love to hit the May massive for Strava, but that's just way too many miles... on the other hand I want to warm up a bit for a tour I'm working on for the 2 weeks before the 4th of July, so maybe I throw in a metric century, that'd be neat, and would get me farther along in a massive, we'll see.

5/1: 27 miles

I'll put myself in for 250 this month. It's going to take a few free weekends, so I'll have to bust my butt to get all my planning and homework done. I have three classes three nights a week for the next eight weeks, plus it will be a hectic last month of school with the early finish this year. The kids are already feeling the end is near and it shows. Time to Get'er done!

What the heck, let's go for 300 miles + 10% = 330, plus the 8 cumulative deficit = 338.

I was going to shoot for 400 this month which I think is pretty good. I kinda overdid it the last week and my legs are kinda sore. So 400 + 40 = 440. This should be good. I think I'm tackling my first metric on the 18th at the California Classic. It looks pretty flat, except from mile 5-15 which is on the freeway (yes, they close the freeway!) with 3-4 .5 mile grades at 2.5% or so.

500 miles - 10,000 vertical feet

Tri coming in September, so I need to lose 10-15 and start putting in quality miles.

Didnt now about the Strava badge, that's a nice goal

I was a total failure last month. Weather and bike set up time, blah, blah, blah. My Big Hairy Audacious Goal for May is 382 (my training plan) + 10% = 420. It sounds totally nuts since I'm as new as they come to this.

I'm in for 150, even though I fell short at 85 of 100 last month. 10 miles today.
