My Goal= 500mi + 10% = 550mi

That is is a real stretch goal for me.

Last edited by Jason300; 04-30-13 at 09:47 AM. Reason: adding 10%

No way! it's already way above my yearly-per-month goal, which is 259mi/417km and 9843ft/3000m. I have to do a lot of catch up since the first of the year. School ends at the end of the month and after I get my grades in, I'll be able to ride in the evenings.

Since I'm just getting back on the bike I'll put down 200km +10% so 220km.

I ended last month at 311, a bit better than expected. I need to get in some miles in May even though travel is continuing (and will for most of the summer). So, I'll say 350.

this will be my first month doing the challenge... I managed 44 miles last month and was planning to go for 100 miles this month... so I suppose that means I'm going for 110 miles

Not counting trainer miles I'm averaging less than that a month (413). With trainer miles I'm over that.

Maybe get in a few hundred. I may have a couple centuries this month but I don't really pay attention to that bit of my ridding.
They come up on the calendar you just put a few Cliff bars in the jersey and go make it happen...

Looks like I am in for 275 miles......LET'S DO THIS!

This is almost my month I am going to really kick start my weight loss. Already lost 13 lbs in the last 6 weeks, want to shoot to be down 25 overall by months end. I am seeing my doc next week so I will get the thumbs up on that as well from her.

250

Hopefully I can get started on it soon, because May 1 and 2 looks like 3-6 inches of snow.

Going for a Strava challenge of 250km, or 156 miles. I'll add 10% plus a little bit and settle on 175.

I was actually thinking I need to back off a bit this month. I'm feeling worn out and saddle sore. This always happens when it starts heating up here. The heat really takes it out of me. There are only so many hours of the day of temperatures cool enough for me to ride without invoking heat exhaustion. I try to get my base miles in before summer comes and pick up again in the fall. Also, my bike needs to go into the shop for some work. I was going to say my goal is 250 for this month. Adding the 10% will give me 275.

The fourth and final milestone achievement award in the Strava May Massive Challenge is 1000k, so I'll make that my goal.

1000k + 10% = 1100k or 683.5 miles.

It was near 80f today. The winds will be picking up this evening in advance of snow and freezing temps tomorrow. The low temp on Thursday morning will be 20f with 24f on Friday. At least the ground temp is high enough so there won't be much snow accumulation. (I hope)
