8/30: 2 Miles. Test ride after adjusting my RD.
8/31: 0 Miles due to rain. I wish I had went for a longer ride yesterday, but I was planning for a 40-50 mile long ride today and didn't want to overdo it. Looking back at this week, I only rode one day for less than 20 miles - the worst week since I started riding back in the spring. The rain is supposed to hold off tomorrow, so I may try to get out for a long ride in the morning (in 98% est. humidity!)

Final MTD: 204.1 Miles. (Goal: 300 Miles - FAIL again!)
YTD: 913.7 Miles. (Goal: 1,000 Miles)

I predict two more months left of riding for 2013. So here it is, my last two chances to get in 300 miles in one month! Unfortunately autumn is usually a great time of the year for hiking (not too hot or cold and not wet like in the early spring), so that may interfere with my riding.

I rode a short 12 mile ride today; not feeling well and had some important things to do.

Goal: 200 miles
MTD: 401 miles

At the beginning of the month, when I joined in the 100 mile plus club, I was doing 10-15 mile rides. I was concerned about succeeding in reaching my goal, so started riding longer distances. That resulted in going far beyond the goal I had set. I might set a lower goal next month so I don't get quite as worn out. Time will tell...

Thanks guys for the motivation. I tried several times in the past to make 100 miles in a month and just never got it. No riding today but I'm hoping o get out the gate tomorrow for 200 miles in September. With a week long vacation and the return of the fall "breezes" maybe I should be shooting for 100 miles but I'm in better shape and the weather won't be so warm. Two Hundred it is next month!

Had my best month since I started riding 10 years ago. 741 miles, 45 PR's on Strava, and 24,008 feet of climbing. 9 months ago, because of liver poisoning from an antibiotic, I couldn't even walk up the stairs without help.

After 5 weeks off due to a crash related injury, set out on August 18th to do 100 miles during August. Made it yesterday finishing with 110 miles. I like to think that's pretty good for a 56 YO, 265 pound guy riding a 1994 Schwinn Crosscut.

if it hadn't gotten so hot and humid late this past week I would have knocked out 500 this month. I rode 2 metrics and a century in August which aided my mileage increase
