After taking yesterday off, I got in 30 miles today before my feet started burning. Got to research this and find a way to stop the burning. MTD: 355 miles. 145 miles to reach goal of 500 miles.

8/21: 25 Miles. Nice ride with zero stops(though a slow ride up a uneven hilly road). Counted 40 rabbits along the way. Averaged 14 MPH.

MTD: 184.7 Miles. (Goal: 300)
YTD: 894.3 Miles. (Goal: 1,000)

Most likely I'll be off the bike the next two days due to family business, but I'm hoping for a long ride this weekend weather permitting.

Dude. That is a KEY goal for me. I hope to be able to do my friendly local 12 mile loop without stopping someday soon. I'm working on it but not there yet.

Hit my months goal of 100 miles last night coming home from my commute to church. I finished 9 days early at that! For my first month of cycling I would say I'm doing fairly well . I'm excited to see how many more miles I can rack up for the rest of August.

A cooler, overcast day was a real departure from usual today. I rode 26.4 miles. I ran into 4 really nice guys from Vancouver, WA that had been doing a state tour. We had some fun talking bikes and the local (great) terrain and roads. I wish them well on their way home.

Goal: 200 miles

Trying to beat my record and hit 700 miles this month. Today's ride of 57 miles got me to 499 MTD. I have a chance of making it.

Another plan for a long ride thwarted when I realised I hadn't charged my phone and it was showing 5% power. Oh well... took off to find a geocache and then took the long way home (9 miles out, 22 home), taking in a few roads that give me a chance to lay down some power. The home straight was nice with a tailwind and I got up to 26mph before having to slow down because I was stuck behind a BMW. The irony of it...

Aug 03 - 25 miles
Aug 06 - 51 miles
Aug 12 - 28 miles
Aug 14 - 70 miles
Aug 18 - 33 miles
Aug 18 - 2 miles
Aug 19 - 30 miles
Aug 21 - 37 miles
Aug 23 - 31 miles

Got those 2x20 intervals in today at a beautiful park trail. Something of a trade off between here and my local route, I have to slow down for tunnels and such on the park route, but don't have to stop for any traffic lights. In either case, I think I pushed plenty hard enough today, what with me praying for a flat tire or broken spoke for the last 5 mins of the second interval!

August 23 - 27km
MTD - 423.4km / 450km
TTD - 797.7km

It was a nice day for a ride. I found 11 pennies on the road; who says riding a bicycle doesn't pay!? The ride was 27.25 miles with lots of hills to climb and 10-20mph winds.

Five days of commuting last week and a leisurely CX trail ride (16 miles & 1,600') today has added a few miles to the odometer this month.

CX trail ride was fun. Went out on a trail I hadn't hit before. Mostly singletrack and could ride almost all but the most technical sections with the cross bike. Only drag was my tires are very worn and lost traction a couple of times. Ordered new tires when I got home.

MTD: 629 miles & 27,858'
YTD: 8,796 miles & 378,303'
