How many feet of climbing did yesterday's ride add to your monthly total? The picture makes me think you added a bunch!

Couple years ago I spent a three months down in San Diego working on a project. Took my road bike but didn't venture out beyond the urban limits of San Diego much. Seeing your pictures of the terrain, has got my radar up for another one of those sweet little job assignments down in the southern end of our great state. I've been good (mostly) at work so I'm due.

My ride total was only about 6k ft in 85 miles. After we climbed that 12 mile dirt climb, we can go right to Julian pie company shop and be mostly down hill home from there into the head wind. If we went left after the dirt. We would be on the back side of Palomar my plus Cole grade. That way was gonna be 100mile and 10.5k vert. With the two major climbs to get back out.

We chose pie and headwinds lol. Which was good cuz my bad shoulder was killing me from the longer top tube position and bumpy dirt road. My buddy is also doing the Waffle ride with me in April. 139m/ 12-13k and 14 dirt sections.

Next time u come out. Head east!!
