Snow started falling at 5AM so no outdoor ride. More trainer work.

150 miles (trainer inclusive - T = trainer)

so far
3/3 -- 10.2 T miles
3/4 -- 7.7 T miles (received a new fluid resistance unit for my CycleOps and it is much harder!!)
3/5 -- 12.8 T miles (1hr on the trainer)

MTD: 30.7 miles

if this keeps up, I might want to increase my monthly estimates. As it is, I have been trying to get on the trainer 5 days a week with 1 day on the weekend pushing for max distance outside and a rest on the other day. Even in the cold as long as the roads have been clear, I have been able to do this most weekends since getting into cycling. Can't wait for the weather to improve so that all riding will be outdoors.

Working this way, I started in late January at 214 lbs and I weighed in today at 206.5 lbs. I am sure some of that is sweat/water loss. Hope to see levels that indicate that the weight off for good. My goal is under 188 lbs (I'm 6' 1").

Frank

3-4 17.1 miles outside. Had to detour back home to put on my gloves and change my route so that I could get home in time to cook dinner. As much as snow is a hindrance to many of you I wish we would have had some.

More trainer work (extra 7 inches of snow yesterday doesn't make outdoors feesible. Hopefully the warm run we look to be having will clear the roads enough to go out this weekend.)

Goal: 150 miles (trainer inclusive - T = trainer)

so far
3/3 -- 10.2 T miles
3/4 -- 7.7 T miles (received a new fluid resistance unit for my CycleOps and it is much harder!!)
3/5 -- 12.8 T miles (1hr on the trainer)
3/6 -- 11.3 T miles (little over 45 min on trainer)

MTD: 42.0 miles

Yes. At 730 ft it's the tallest bridge in CA and I ride across it all the time. I go up that way and across that bridge when I am after some hill climbing on my road bike.

Trend lately is something called "Girder Hanging". Kids take selfies while hanging from the girders. Placer sheriff cracks down on bridge ?girder hangers? | The Sacramento Bee The Sacramento Bee
