I usually check a couple of weather apps about twice a day since t-storms aren't as predictable as we'd like.
Or so it seems.
I've noticed now that Facebook prompts us with memories/reminders of posts on this day from previous years, I'm seeing the same weather patterns repeat year after year, right down to the day in some cases. My weatherbug FB contacts and I seem to repeat the same screencaps of our location conditions, trying to outdo each other with recordings of lightning strikes, hail, etc.

True, I am only going 15 miles one way. Though I will soon be going 26 miles one way and still have no intention of skipping due to rain.
I used to drive if there was rain in the forecast. However, this is Michigan, there's always rain in the forecast. Eventually I realized that rain is actually not unpleasant unless it's also cold, and with good rain gear, I honestly forget that it's raining as I'm riding along.

I don;t mind rain on the ride home. It is rather pleasant on a hot day. It's only a problem on the ride in. Wet clothes are a pain to deal with here. And, soaked shoes are a real B.

I think I remember that table, it was a good idea. The new Performance catalog had a listing of what layers to wear for different temperatures. I liked that idea, I remember being puzzled as to what to wear at first.

Yeah, the problem with that is, it's completely different for different people. The stuff I wear at 10*F, I see other people saying they wear at 40*F.

I started riding when it was cold out and got good at layering for the winter when I was strictly riding to exercise and as it got warmer I kept wondering when it was going to get too hot to ride. Then when I started commuting I had to worry about being presentable when I got to work as well as carrying more clothes, and that's when the lists came in handy. And the "today I wore" thread in the winter section.
