I see Zobrist seen again riding his bike to the ballgame. I have to note a couple of the comments .
1. That he wasn't wearing a helmet
2. That he's doing it because public transpo is so pathetic.
He's pretty brave doing that in Chicago, shooting capital of the Midwest.

I rode through Wrigleyville during a game and lots of people gave me shouts of encouragement from the surrounding bars. It was my only time riding in Chicago and I loved it. I need to do that again. It's crowded on the bike path around Lincoln Park but still a lot of fun, and actually not crowded at all once you go south towards Science and Industry past all the other museums.

When Dylan Bundy was still a fresh-out-of-high-school prospect the Orioles made him stop commuting by bike because he was too valuable to their future to risk injury like that. I hear these days they're asking him to consider sky diving into the ballpark every day.
I kid. He's probably only a year away from being traded to the Cubs for a tub of chewing gum and a mismatched sock and two years away from winning the Cy Young Award. (No, I don't have any lingering bitterness about Jake Arrietta. Why do you ask?)

I know there was some behind-the-scenes salary stuff involved, but it still surprises me that Arrieta chose to leave the Cubs to go be the third-best pitcher on the Phillies.
Unrelated, the best things to happen to the Cubs this year was Darvish going to the DL, and trading for Hamels so that POS Chatwood could get booted out of the rotation.
I still have no idea why they signed either of those guys.
