1) Why insist on locating it in the bottle cage?
2) Why brew it early?
I leave a grinder and brew kit at work, and brew there (either a clever coffee dripper or a Techovorm MochaMaster ... the latter when I'm brewing for the group and not just myself).

Fits in a standard bottle cage. Keeps my coffee hot for a few hours. I think Target still carries them in stores.

if the point isn't to drink ON the bike, then
1) Why insist on locating it in the bottle cage?
2) Why brew it early?

2. Convenience. I make a pot at home for wife and I.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I use a Hydra-Flask, it fits perfect. I think it is 18oz. I can't find the link for it. I have the screw on lid so you need two hands to get a drink but it keeps that coffee hot forever or close to it. I guess it keeps things cold even longer. I may purchase I flip lid for it so I can drink while on the move.

When you take the lid off, does the coffee on the lid go everywhere?
That was what held me back. I felt like the lid would get coated in coffee and as soon as you unscrewed it the coffee on the lid would drip everywhere.
Do you experience that or was I WAY overthinking it?

Actually yes. I don't care on the bike but I'm extra careful if I am in the car. I'm using it right now and I'm extra cautious not to drip on anything precious. When I purchased it there was the option for the flip lid but I liked the looks of the hole in the cap that I can carry it with one finger. The flip lid would be better on the bike though in hindsight.

I will second this. I have been using this one for three years and love it. It fits in a bottle cage and doesn't leak. I have used it on motorcycle trips as well, putting it in a bag while it is filled with coffee. No leaks, and it stays hot for hours. I used it yesterday on a car trip. I filled it in addition to the combination french press/travel much I have, and didn't drink it until a little over six hours later, still hot.
