Up at 6:15, check email, get dressed, drink a Dr. Pepper and eat a banana for breakfast, and get my son up so he can get ready for school. When I get to school at 7:30, I write the kids' daily assignments on the board as I read over my lesson plans for the day, and get everything ready for my first period math class. At 8:00, I go to get my class from the gym, take them back to my room, and we get started with our day. Two mornings a week, I work with the kids in Math Olympiads from 7:30 - 8:00 (a program for gifted math students).

First off I usually get to work too early,I hate being late unlike everybody else. I have to wait for someone to open the store.
The first thing is punch in ( have to get paid) and then make a pot of coffee. While it's brewing I open my tool box and push all the motorcycles out . By then the coffee is done and I stand there have a cup and start wrenching.

Ride safe,

Pat

After I let my 4 dawgs out of the garage at 5 a.m., I take care of the three cats. One cat is out all night, so I have to let him in. Another cat is in all night, so I have to let her out. Then the first cat, after eating, demands to go outside again. So I let him out. Then I have to go upstairs and feed the third cat, who refuses to ever come down to the first floor. I wish I had $1 for every time I had to open a door for a damn cat!

Bikes: Trek 8000 (I'm testing a prototype).

Since I work swing shift, I get to come in and get briefed by day shift on how crazy the day was. Then I grab a Diet Coke and check my e-mail.

When I arrive at work after my cycle commute, I call my wife and let her know I have arrived safely. Then start up my computer, change out of my cycle clothes, do a wash down with a cloth soaked in hot water and change into my day clothes. Fire up my e-mail and go make myself a nice smooth latte. Delicious. I'm now rarin' to go. Ta da. My best days are when I commute by bike.

I only commute when I am on shift.. Had to fill in for someone last night, so bike commutted. So much happier when bike commute over crazy traffic when in Auto..
I was sort of achy when first got there. Had my Endurox and I was plenty charged for the night.. During my 25 mile commute home, (took the long way, because it felt good to go through wine country) I stopped at two stores on way home..
Kept being delayed by strangers who were interested in taking up cycling.. Must have chatted with one at Post Office for 15 minutes. Might join us on a ride.. But has a mountain bike.. Asked if it could be retrofitted for the road..?
But got home still with two hour commute time.. But that is ok, do not have to go to work until Wednesday.. Cool but mostly sunny.. Felt great..

I start the day at work after a bike commute by wishing there was a shower at work.

Find a hose hookup outside, and bring some swim trunks! You would be the talk of the office, that's for sure!
