Six jours,
Not cool. Really, try a better metaphor.

This is not a cool helmet.

How are those nutcase helmets for heat? I love the way they look, and I'm seriously considering getting one, but I'm concerned that there may not be enough ventilation.

I like the helmet the bicyclist wore in the Top Gear episode where he beats the car driver, the subway rider, and the boat guy. Not sure what brand it is/was but it looked very cool.

Heres my problem, I haven't been wearing a helmet during my commute because a can't find one that fits right. I ordered an XL through my LBS but I couldn't try it on so I'm not sure if it'll fit right. Oh yeah I don't have a huge head, lol, I have dreds so I need something larger. Any suggestions?

I dunno... dreds are kinda styrofoam-like. You kind of have a built-in helmet! Cool!

Take a look at this Trek helmet... not real fancy... bit it is very large. It should get the job done.

Yeah they really are. They soak up more impact than you would think.

And that Treck helmet looks decent I'll have to look into it.

Get a helmet with HUGE vent holes, then thread the dreds through the vents.

The poster said "in the world". The statement may or may not be true for the US, but for the world - remembering the number of people who cycle commute in China and India - it's unquestionably correct.

even in the US, helmet usage is below 50%.

In my MHL province where they fine people and take away their bikes if you don't wear a helmet, the usage sits at 50%

Just because there is a vocal group that loves helmets, doesn't mean everybody feels the same kind of love.
