Need a Rear Basket - no quick release!
Can anyone recommend a rear bike basket WITTHOUT quick release that is compatible with the bontrager bike rack?
I commute and have a trunk bag, but I have to wear a suit to work, so I can't take it off and place it in the bag without getting wrinkled. I'd like to switch to a bike basket, so I can just fold the jacket and place it inside. Here is the kicker - I'd like a basket that can not just be slid off, which will allow me to park it at the train station.
Any suggestions?
Bobby

I zip tied a legal size (as opposed to letter size) wire in-basket to my rear rack - it works pretty well. I think I spent about 6 bucks on the basket, another 3 on zip ties.

If the main concern is properly packing your suit coat, why not get a large messenger bag? They are very comfortable, useful for a wide variety of items, security is not an issue, and it will keep your suit wrinkle free. Something like this:

Thanks!
Thanks to all who took the time to respond and offer advice. I think I'm going to use a basket and some bolts (let's just hope a thief doesn't bring his tools!). I like the messenger bag idea, but I live in the Los Angeles area where it gets pretty warm so there is the sweat factor of carrying a messenger bag/backpack - what good would an unwrinkled jacket do me if I show up smelling funny :-)
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Another possibility is wire baskets made for refrigerators or under kitchen counters; zip tied to standard rear rack. Cheap, effective and acts as theft repellent.
