Is that a rear rack mounted on the front?
http://www.brian-payne.com/gallery/m...serialNumber=2 I actually just put it on last night because I had it sitting around and I wondered if it would work. It does, I just need to finish making a proper bracket to attach it to the caliper bolt on the fork. |

I've been wanting to try this on my commuting/touring bike. |

I was about to ask what kind of tires those are, but you already answered my question. :D Looking good! :thumb:

Hi -- Great looking bike! I have been considering the Axiom Hudson Trunk bag for my bike. I have a Superflash light mounted below my seat and a rather short rack so I am concerned about the size of the bag. Can you do me a BIG favor and give me the overall dimensions of your Hudson bag? The websites I have looked at don't agree on the size! Thanks!
but a couple of inches deeper. Definitely better quality than the Axiom but it's also about $40 more. After checking it out...I think I would've paid the $40. |

Can you be specific about the mods to your Le Tour Luxe? My '84 is still stock, but I'm interested in exploring options.

Is that p-clamps at the bottom of the fork? I tried that once and it... didn't end well. Maybe I just didn't tighten it enough.

I often think that this bike is one of my finest bits of work as the finished product has exceeded all my expectations. |

wasnt meant to have the oregon ducks color scheme...but that is brought up often. RSX and Alivio components. I added the PB fenders, rear Eco rack, PB lights, Brass Bell, Schwalbe Kethlar Marathon Slicks, Salmon brake pads, and more recently the double kick stand like Gary Fisher Simple Cities have. The new Back Backer Plus Ortlieb bags fit nicely on the rack to. Solid bike with about 2000 miles commuting time this last 2 years. |
My 2008 Trek 7200, with Topeak rack and Arkel Dolphin panniers, and assorted lights/doohickeys.

My commuter, with the lighting battery and airzounds installed (those are the two "water bottles" you see). Fenders are seasonal, and are not installed at the moment. Notice the redundant redundant lighting... 2 battery systems, one generator. The Niterider is my primary system.
The pannier is ancient, as is the Brooks (talk about well broken in). I added orange mesh to the pannier some years ago to improve my visibility to motorists. Under the mesh is a shop rag for quick roadside cleanups after tire changes, etc. |
