Here's my moto fantom cross uno. Loving it. Still tweaking the setup...latest tweak was the new handlebars and brakes...

This is the remedy to my rear brake/rack struts problem. I'm hoping the solution won't rust but this is an interim solution until I can find something better or at least rust-proof. I found the little braces in my toolkit so I don't know what they're made of.

new bike
Just picked this up today at the LBS. After going around 3 or 4 different shops 3 times each, I finally settled on the trek 7.2 fx, half for comfort, half for price. So far i really like it, not to mention that this is my first non-department store bike. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Anyway, I plan to do my 12 mile RT commute by the spring.

Bikes: 2008 Bianchi Axis, 2000ish Gary Fisher Marlin
Just got a 2008 Bianchi Axis. I moved the rack and stuff from another bike so I need to fix the angle and install a computer still, but overall it's a fast, fun ride, at least compared to my old mountain bike.
I need to improve my hauling system. I like the flexibility of the reusable shopping bag cargo-netted to the rear, but my laptop is a little too big for it so I get this bulky arrangement with it sitting diagonally and clothes packed around it. Most days I don't have to haul a computer so I don't want to get too crazy with specialty bags.
I thought I wanted another flat bar bike but after riding this and a couple other cross bikes (sorry, I tried a CrossCheck but it just didn't feel good to me), I discovered the rotated hand position on top of the forward brakes really makes my ergonomic arm injury feel much better! I also had the LBS install another set of brakes up front like some of the other cross bikes have. I feel more stable using those most of the time.
That's one of our dogs, Walt, who sniffs and licks the tires when I get home.

After being cleaned up by a motorbike last year on my giant whilst coming home, I replaced it with this. Lovely bike for the streets.
My marathons (700 x 28) will be back on soon as autumn and winter approaches.

Seafoamer, awesome bike.
Reminded me of this bike from Hiawatha Cyclery, on which they used a indexed bar-end shifter with a Problem Solvers Inline Travel Agent to control an Alfine hub. Here's the link to the flickr photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/hiawath...ry/2347659679/

Since I had to take a pic for the Fred contest...

I hope my frediance doesn't overshadow the Fuji!

Can I get one of those mailed to me (or maybe with an order or something)?
