I'm at Ft Washington and 190. No Riverside Drive for me. Just the path and the river. I love having that bit of hill on the way home. I imagine it will fade a little, and then grow again when I hitch the trailer up with the twins in it...

I posted this a while ago, but I've made a lot of changes since, so here it is again:
1977 Gitane Gypsy Sport fixed gear conversion Before: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3380/...e56b4258fe.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3621/...8b79bb5ceb.jpg After: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3579/...375eb878_o.jpg BTW - how deep in the head tube is the stem. Looks dangerously shallow, based on how much is exposed :twitchy: |

Wow, that Ross is a beauty! I made the mistake of passing one of those up at the flea market last year, still kicking myself...

I just recently finished my new commuter, it replaces a 52lb Schwinn collegiate. The only original parts on it are the front derailleur, cable clips, headset and bottom bracket. Most of the other parts I had lying around so this was a very inexpensive build. It's a lot of fun to ride, I particularly like the bar end shifters. It gets daily use riding to work, on top of that I have not driven my car once this past week. I would like to add some lights to it in the near future. Nothing on it is very fancy.... except the one Campagnolo nuovo record skewer on it

65er, what kind of rear hub is on your Twenty?
|
Tom,
My Twenty is a fixed gear with a double stepped (flip flop) hub in the rear. |
