Nice!

I've got a set of Soma Sparrow bars under the tree that I'm going to put on my '89 Rockhopper. I'm hoping for a hand position similar to what you've got here. I've got drop bars on it now, but I got an itch to play with its personality a bit.

The Titec bars are pretty comfortable. They feel like a cross between porteur bars and MTB bars (with lots of sweep).

*Friday Gear = a full weeks worth of work clothes headed for the laundry; could also be called Stinky Gear! lol

Just added this one. A dedicated winter commuter. Schwalbe Marathon Winter studded tires are on the way.

It's a spoke card given out to all the people who rode to a "Texas Independence Day" party earlier this year. Several of my friends will do spoke cards for celebrations like that. The rest of the cards I've collected are on my FG bike.

I'm digging that stem on the Raleigh...anyone know where I can get one like it? Much cleaner than a stack of spacers. Velo Orange only had silver with a negative rise.

Haha that's great, ****** always ruins everything for me, in that I know things before everyone else does.

Yes indeed. I just narrowed down the model year to a 1974 or 1975 Nishiki International

That's a great looking bike. Those graphics work really well together.

Did you build it from a bare frame?

Looks closer to 1980 to me. The script on the downtube is more like the 80s models.

Yeah, I really like the graphics on that frame, too. Cool touches.

I like the way that looks, but then I like the faux retro thing of a lot of the twin 6 jerseys/stuff, so that's not a surprise. I looked hard at that frame, but decided that since I'm not in the market for a new bike I couldn't justify it. Nice build.

Thanks for the kinds words (everyone). Yes, I built it up from scratch. Most of the parts I moved over from another frameset that I sold. Had a lot of fun sprinkling in some red accents to tart it up. Ride is smooth as silk.

Bikes: Kona Dew, Kona Ute, Salsa Timberjack, Salsa Fargo, New belgium brewery cruisers-2014 and 2009 and 2007

took off the trunk bag now that the commute is really walking distance, a friend made the frame bag for me to try out as a prototype.

Done shopping for the season at lunch.

An updated picture of my daily commuter with a 1x9 setup and a new Specialized Avatar Saddle. Changing the brake levers soon to something with non-metal levers due to the freezing temps.
