Stopped by a disc golf course on my way into work. Practiced some putts and snapped a few pictures of my bike.

I played a course in NC once, it was the most beautiful course I'd ever been on. Lots of holes down grassy cleared-out alleys in the forest. |
On my way home yesterday.

Is there really a bike called the "Huffy Mullet" or did you just add a decal?
Looks like you've made quite a bike out of a humble starting point. Did you have to drill to get caliper brakes instead of the original cantis? |
I'm not a fan of Huffys, but I like yours, Johnny Mullet. Good work.

Lovely pic! I don't get out to disc golf anymore, I should get back into it. I played a course in NC once, it was the most beautiful course I'd ever been on. Lots of holes down grassy cleared-out alleys in the forest.

It's my nickname because of my hairdo ;) I have the same sticker on my beater bike I use around the shop which has the old components from the huffy befor the conversion.......... http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/...psqgcsatrn.jpg It used to be a girl's bike.......... http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/...psnhsltwsl.jpg http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/...psqy2jubpt.jpg http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2t92ubae.jpg |

I've ridden drop bar bikes with rear racks for years of commuting. Picked up, and modified, this KHS recently and have been having a blast. Go a bit slower, worry about scratches and theft less, but I didn't put a rack on until yesterday. My first front rack.

Love the ballons! Hey, what's that hiding behind the rear hub? Cause it almost looks like part of the bike.

Yup, my trusty giro savant helmet. And i kind of put the balloon tires on as a joke, so my bike would be instantly recognizable (minor bike theft is on the rise here, but they are mostly unintelligent drug users who would try to sell it back to you) but i ended up loving the ride. So much cushion, very stable, and still capable on the road. I was averaging 18mph on the part of that ride with no stops for a few miles, which isn't much slower than my normal speed on the drop bar bike with skinnier tires.

I was staring at this for a minute, trying to figure out what the heck you were thinking with brake lever placement, until I realized those weren't just bullhorn bars... lol

Been eyeballing them for the TCX I have a single Nano on the front and a Specialized Fat Boy on the back. I am torn as to which tire I like more. I will say that the Nano has been AMAZING as far as handling, grip and control on and off the pavement. I would highly recommend those tires! Ta! |
