My OCR3 Daily
1 Attachment(s)
Hey y'all!
Here is my fairly stock OCR3. I really want to heavily outfit this thing as my daily. If there are any people out there that have outfitted their OCR I would love to talk to you and get some ideas about what fits best on these bikes. Specifically fenders, rear rack or saddle bags, and other weather proofing items. Thanks for looking and your advice and comments! p.s hope my image shows up... first post with a picture |

My commuter in the early morning light. Salsa Colossal 2. I have about a 30 mile round trip. I bring a lot of stuff into the office when I drive, so I travel with just a light backpack on the days I ride. |

The Miyata 610 has double eyelets, braze ons in the middle of the fork, cantilever brake mounts. All of these could be used for mounting a rack. http://i.imgur.com/zLKadb1.jpg |

I bought this '92 Project-3 a couple months ago. It's going to be used mainly as a "bad weather" commuter, but it's also a fun ride in the sun. Rides pretty nice on gravel too. I had to clean it up quite a bit, but I'm Ok with it now.

Probably not the best looking, but I find them very functional for hand positions. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...g?t=1498571664 http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...g?t=1498571735 http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...g?t=1498571781 |
I've got a new commuter in the works. A few more upgrades, dial in the fit and we should be good to go. ;)

Mine was advertised as 'Cross Terrain', the beginnings of cyclocross, I suppose--cantilever brakes, taller BB, short head tube. It's heavy has heck, but tough.

Nice bike friend! I'd love one - now if they only made them in my size...

Here is my SE Hefe.
I know SE's Don't get much love around here, but they seem take a beating. I grew up a 80s BMX kid, and SEs were the most exotic thing around. The rectangular aluminum tubing PK Rippers, and crazy double down tube Quadangles were the ones I lusted over as a lad, so it was a no-brainer when I was looking for a beater commuter. I like the simple 1x7 gears and twist shift. The matte black looks great. Due to my roots, I prefer an upright riding position, so I put on a BMX stem, beautifully welded Orgin8 aluminum BMX bars, added some 'beartrap' pedals, and removed the front brake (for rad skids!). I put a big, comfy brown leatherette seat in homage to the SE Racing original blue & brown colors. So here it is, my short-guy BMX flavored commuter. I've been riding it nearly every day. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...703_133738.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...703_133550.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...703_134134.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...703_134216.jpg |
Quick blurry photo of her loaded up with groceries. Got a new rear rack put on her, another bag, and another lock. Next I'm getting new pedals.

Felt v55 Adventure Bike
4 Attachment(s)
I love seeing the large variety of commuter bikes in this sub-forum!
Here's another one that doesn't seem common (apparently I have the only one on the island according to the only Felt dealer in HI). :) It's a Felt "adventure" bike with 700x35c tires, a shorter stem (I have long legs but a short reach), and a few other minor changes you can see. Absolutely love the versatility of this bike!!! Attachment 570906 Attachment 570907 Attachment 570908 Attachment 570909 |
