that is one attractive looking bike. I love the color. I also love the fenders wrapping around the wheel. What kind are they?

Today's commuter, no fenders, not too many riding days left for this one before next summer...

You should, what beautiful weather in Chicagoland!

I figured i'd post it as I was noting on another thread that my commute bike does not conform to the conventional wisdom. but for a city commute with stairs, trains, turnstiles and crowds to navigate + traffic where its good to be going at least 20mph: add in ironman toughness (I have been assaulted while riding through west oakland.. bike went flying and in seconds I was up and gone.. bike never missed a beat!) and rock hard paint (even if it is a bit dinged and chipped at this point). my best commute bike so far.

Just picked up my new commuting bike so excited to get back to commuting after a few years hiatus

That is bad-a$$! It looks similar to a crosscheck, except the cable runs under the toptube. That army green makes it look like a tank that can plow through anything, which it probably can -- also diggin the giant cassette back there, you can climb anything with that!

This 'Quest' is my everyday commuter, it just turned over 50,000 miles this week. Took 9 1/2 years. Other then the frame it has only one original part.
http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=484428 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=484426 This 'Free Sprit' is my winter / really bad weather commuter. Not much to look at but cheaper then rebuilding the 'Quest' every Spring. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=484427 |

Took this picture this morning on the way to work. I've been traveling with my foam pumpkin this week for Halloween! I get zero points for originality though, since I got the idea from @bconneraz last year.

nice pic -- u should cut out the top of the foam pumpkin and just carry stuff inside there instead of panniers!
What's going on with those red lights -- do you have some kind of light system that goes all the way around the wheel and a computer controls it to sense the inertia and only light on the upswing? |

As for the wheel lights, they are Revolights (revolights.com), and work pretty much as you describe. I haven't re-mounted the front one back on the bike yet. (I took them off for the summer/fall months) http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=485007 |
