I don't think it's cheesy or ridiculous at all, it is indeed awesome, and a great use of space otherwise wasted by a headset cap. Is it a Stem CAPtain? I personally kind of want a compass, especially for trail riding, although it seems they might have trouble with steel steerer forks. Anybody have experience?

Well it is a Space horse, I'm sure it's used to floating around in all different orientations without gravity.

I really like that old-school kind of paint scheme, with white bands for logos, especially when matched by white fork tips.

Yeah I think it gives a hint of class to the "Party Brand". It also completes the look with the British Racing Green color scheme of an older time, perhaps even a better time.

Haha, I actually got it from a relatively shady looking site, which happened to have some greyscale camo bar tape I wanted to try out for super cheap, but has a $15 minimum order for free shipping to the US. So the clock pushed me over the $15 minimum for free shipping with the bar tape. Old commuter: Trek 4300 with regular MTB tires.



New commuter: Ridley Fenix.



Still can't get over how much lighter the Fenix is!

For how cheap it was, the clock is exceptionally well made, and was super easy to install. I have no doubt of its shockproof-ness and waterproof-ness, and the machining is smooth and top notch. The only negative is the cheesy engrish writing around the base; I'm probably going to spraypaint it black. Very happy with it. I haven't installed the bar tape yet so no review yet, but the texture seems good at first touch.

Thanks! Second day commuting on it and I love it. So much quicker getting up to speed, especially uphill. Corners much better too.

this is my winter bike! It is a department store Schwinn (6061 aluminum before those bikes became completely worthless, circa early 2000's.) Components are mostly stock (Shimano Atlus, Suntour XCT, etc.. .) although I swapped the springer fork for a steely rigid. Added a rear rack, fenders and mudflats, panniers, and Velociraptor 2.1 tires; she rides nicely through the slop.

I think we all here are happy enough to see bikes that the photographic quality doesn't matter. We just need another fix.
