Introducing the "FogCatcher". Narrow, hi-speed road, dark, fog. Any questions?

Great, thanks for point these out, and they are now on sale. I think I might order some to replace the ugly milk crate on the bike now.

I highly recommend them, especially for $10 each. they also include a neon-colored raincover hidden in a pocket on the bottom. They sag a bit with really heavy stuff (case of soda or gallon of milk), but they are quite useful. I keep one of them on the bike at all times.

Yeah...I'm not a hardcore ride in the drops kind of guy.....they were raised about as high as they could functionally go. Now I'm swapping them out altogether for trekking bars.

That's a cool setup. What kind of rack is that on the front, and how is it attached. I couldn't make it out from the picture.

That looks like the Nashbar front rack I have. It's a handy little booger, especially considering how little it costs!

Uh, they didn't look particularly high to me, they are not even at seat level. Roadies might think they are too low, but hey, it's your transportation to work, not the Tour de France. Nothing wrong with being able to enjoy the view on your commute/tour/whatever.

canadiantire bikes

i have always rode supercycle [canadiantire brand] bikes and find them durrable, i ride all year round all 240 lbs , i much prefer winter tahn summer roding, i also own a ironhorse maverik comuter that i bought this june , its a great bike , but i mostly use my supercycle thrill and have had no problems[it's a heavy beast especially up hill , but i love it , it sure makes riding other bikes a breeze, again it seems to me that supercycle is durable bikes for those who can't afford the name brands.

Bikes: Trek 7300 & several trash finds...

I had some spare parts lying around, so I figured a road bike with 26" MTB tires would be a fun ride.

An old commuter bike i got from a neighbor. I have no choice but to sell it since it's way too small for me, and no one else in the house wants it.

While my cross bike is down...

Observations:
Instead of kids calling me nerd or geek I get alot of "cool bike" comments from the non-biking crowd.
I can't catch roadies anymore and they all look at me like I'm totally ******** now.
Much to my surprise, my commute takes only 5-10 minutes longer than my cross bike over 13 miles. (10-30% longer)
It's kinda fun running right over every pothole and jumping onto and off every curb.

How you like that Mercier? I think I'm going to end up ordering one soon. If bikesdirect ever gets on in my size.

Man I'd feel poserific wearing a fox jersey when my shocks are specialized and rock shox

My cross bike is back now! I got tired of looking like a rolling Cannondale billboard so I ordered some blue reflective tape...which came in yesterday. I'm undecided if I should add some "Huffy" stickers to it now or make it so my bike says "Can o' ale".

Before: (my bike says Cannondale no less than 12 times)

After:

Flashed:

Kinda makes me ill to cover up the made in USA bit. What do you guys think?

Bikes: Burley Runabout 7 and Specialized Allez Elite

That looks great! You matched the tape really well!
I, on the other hand, was not able to match my bar tape so well to the rest of my bike, but I still <3 it!!
The new-to-me summer commuter is (I think) an '84 Bridgestone 300:

The bad weather commuter is a 2003 Burley Runabout:

The fixer-upper is an '86 or '87 Trek Elance 400:

I am using this bike to learn how to fix bikes. My plan is to build it into a fixie..
And my fun bike / weekend ride is a 2007 Specialize Allez Elite:

I need to get a better pic of that one, I think..

Maybe I have too many bikes. I dunno. They all serve different purposes for me. And anyway, my boyfriend and I leased a brand new car about a month ago and I haven't driven it, which for some reason makes me proud!!

Edit: Fixed the links!
