The plan is to turn him over to a dog rescue organization but he's putting on the charm pretty strong right now so maybe he'll stay.

He does cry a lot at night though; it's like having a baby in the house again. I'm running on about 3 hours of sleep today.
Sweetheart! I think you now have a dog.

On my ride in today I was a mile from my house when I realized I forgot my helmet. I just continued on -- don't tell Mrs. Caloso!

Heh. I've done that once or twice.

The puppy is ky00t, but doesn't practically fit into our plans. He'll probably be turned over to an animal rescue group this week, but I wouldn't say that's 100% certain.

Great ride in. Little hot on the way home with the 98f heat index but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. made good time despite it.

Back from a long weekend in DC, world cup parties and what not. Checked out around 8:30 yesterday, and stopped on the bottom side of Georgetown to pick up some tea for the ride home. As I sat in the park, I enjoyed the never ending stream of bicycle traffic coming off the Crescent trail. The majority were commuters, with packs, panniers, bags and some with kids. This traffic would be coming from the north and west of the city, probably Silver Spring and Besthesda. Its a good paved trail. For a town with very little in bicycle commting infrastructure there certainly are allot of commuters on bicycles.
It was a good ride in today,

Nice ride in today. Not pushing it hard because strain hurts, but feeling a lot better now that I'm back in the saddle. Today was only a 1 deer day :-)

blistering FAST! I'm surprised my tires didn't burst into flames! I wore as little clothing as possible so it was a little chilly but it will be the right mix for the ride home when it's 78 degrees

Nice crisp ride this morning - high 50's so I threw on arm warmers. The legs were like lead, this afternoon will be interesting 'cuz I'm riding home and then doing a 36 mile group ride.

First commute after a 4-day weekend out of town. I was quick. No wind. Sunny and 50F. Shorts & short sleeves. Very comfortable. It's one of those lovely days. Gonna go flying after work.

I trust you mean Bethesda/Silver Spring, and not DC...?

Had a good ride home last night. It was hot, I was feeling sluggish and slow, and there was a hot headwing blowing in my face out of the south. To my amazement, though, when I got home, I had still done the 7 miles in the same 30 minutes I usually do.

Thanks to some evening rainstorms, it's cooler and drier for today at least, which made the morning ride in nicer. Stuffed a couple suits in one of my new panniers to drop off at the dry cleaner. Too bad picking up stuff from the dry cleaner on a bike isn't as easy! LOL

Took the train today, as my knees were hurting in a really awful way yesterday. They feel a little better now, but I'm trying to be careful. I think I may need to adjust my bike, but I have no idea how to fit it to myself. :/

Little damp, chilly this morning, but otherwise and excellent ride in. Hope the rain showers/thunderstorms hold off until I reach home tonight!

ouch! glad you're on the mend and have a good doc. My elbow is still not quite 100% after a minor hairline break back in Mid-December.

Getting up today was tough after putting in 47 miles yesterday. Back on the folder, though, so I can pick up my son in the kiddie seat. I already miss my newly redone Panasonic.

Dogs woke me up middle of the night and then again about 30 minutes before I had to get up so I got off to a grumpy start. Pulling out of the hood I make a left with plenty of time and well clear of the intersection and this prick in a Nissan truck screams "*******" like I held him up. Hell I was already winding up. Shook it off and continued on.

Clear last light before the entrance to my office. Signal my intent to make a right before slowing down and the idiot behind me starts screaming at me. WTF?
Ride home was decent.

Gave blood mid-day. Didn't think anything of it until the nice lady that drained the pint from my veins said "nothing strenuous for 72 hours" as she was putting the Bandaid on my arm. OOOPPPS. Didn"t even think about my 25 mile ride home. It was a very slow ride. Stopped and enjoyed the shade in a park on the way home.

Another great ride in, with great warm weather. There is some rain around, but I missed it coming in.

I had my very first commute today!!!! I really enjoyed the ride too. As I got closer to work I passed four guys on road racing bikes going the other direction as a group. Otherwise only had a dozen or so cars total to worry about. I could get into this on a regular basis. Just need to get my speed up a bit especially during the climbs.

Computer says 7.33 miles, 12.7 mph average speed.

Bikes: One brand-less build-up, and a Connondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc. A nicer bike than I need, but it was a good deal, so... ;-)

Absenth - Way to go!

Today was a slow commute. Didn't feel too good when I got up this morning. So I took it easy. Pleasant ride with less traffic than usual for some odd reason.

Nice ride for me today. I got a new bottom bracket yesterday, so no more creaking when I pedal. It was getting embarrassing. 50F. I felt chilled indoors so I wore my cycling jacket and got hot on the ride. Oh well. It may rain for the ride home.

I left too late and had TRAFFIC!

almost became road kill when a tractor trailer passed me. I tried to catch him at the next light but he knew I was gunning for him. good thing I couldn't catch him cuz I was gonna rip his throat out

Best ride to work in quite a while this morning! Got a good night's sleep last night. Clouds kept it cool, and the breeze that there was coming generally from behind. I managed to hit almost every light on the roads as green. Less pedestrian and bike traffic than usual on the MUP and coming across the Mall. 6.98 miles - average speed 15.7 mph. Hoorah. Unfortunately, it just meant I got to work a few minutes sooner, but still a nice ride.

Hoping for a similarly great ride home. Oddly, I don't mind getting home earlier... Or I can always tack on some extra riding during the commute home.
