I recently bought a rear rack for a Poprad. When I tried to install it, turns out it is a little short. The bottom of the platform is hitting the top of the fender. It's a rack I bought from Nashbar, an Ascent Longina Rear Rack which is apparently no longer available and I can't link to it. I got it to work, but only after a little work. I had to buy some corner brackets from Home Depot and hammer them flat then use them to extend the length of the rack legs. I don't think it is all that sturdy, but thought I would ask for opinions. The brackets are galvanized steel.

Anyway, I'm looking at a few racks from Jenson, and thought some people could give opinions on those.

I have Axiom panniers and I am buying other things from Jenson, so I'd like to keep the purchase from there. Any thoughts on those? Will they be a little longer and fit correctly? The road rack looks appelaing because it will be back far enough, but with my setup right now I have enough heel clearance, so I don't think the extra room will be necessary.

Does your Poprad have have rack mounts in the dropouts and on the chainstays?

If not, the third one is your better bet. If so, one of the other two, preferably the second.

No, I have to attach it to the same mount point as the fender mounts. I think that may be why my current rack is a little short. No for the chainstays as well, but I also do not have a bridge with a brake mount, so I would need to adjust the third option as well.

I'd look at a Delta Megarack Universal if you have fit issues. The Megarack allows for about 3" of adjustment in height. And the rack is relatively inexpensive.

A Tubus Vega is very swanky and rugged. You can get adjustment kits for it but it is much more expensive. Damned purty though

My friend has a Bontrager disc rack on her Poprad - it is adjustable and clears her fenders just fine.

Anyone know if the third one I listed, the streamliner road rack, is built to be a little taller than normal because it is using the QR skewer as the attachment point? I imagine rack eyelets are usually higher than the level of the wheel axle, right? I emailed Jenson but have not heard yet and I would like to get this order in today. Thanks!
