First commute of the year
Ok, I'll admit...I am usually sort of a fair weather commuter. But I am aiming to change that this year. The weather said it was suppossed to get up to 50 today, so I had to ride in. Unfortunately, the weather at 6:30 was 20, cold, foggy, and drizzly. The ride was slow...I am out of biking shape. However, I still loved it and actually feel like I have energy this morning and am ready to tackle the day. Plus, I get to look forward to a nice ride home in sunny 50 degree weather! The sad part is, it will probably snow 2 more times here before Spring arrives.

Yeah, when you're not in shape and your first ride happens in bad weather it can suck, but don't let it discourage you. As you noticed, riding is great for mental well-being
This was my first no-matter-what Winter. I rode almost every single day. Although, Winters here are milder than WI, I guess. Check out the Winter Riding forum for some inspiration!

good for you! I know what 20 degree miserable mornings are like. hope you had the right stuff for the morning and the evening rides.
I prefer it when I can use the same gear morning and night. kind of a nuisance when the temps are wildly different
