I love this thread - what a great idea. If this thread is still going in a few months, I will post some pics of the route I will be taking to work in the LImburg province in the southern Netherlands. It is a great route through the Dutch countryside - bike paths all the way, past some farm fields.
Keep the pics coming...they are somehow inspiring.

Wow, those paved trails look so nice. Up here in New England after the winter our roads are a mess and I have to dodge crummy potholes and cracks, and sewer covers. I just got these pics from the internet cuz they resemble what I'm talking about.

Resurrecting an old thread to show off the cherry blossoms on my way to work:

That's along the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, PA. And it's those cherry blossoms that got me started riding, and commuting, about 3 years ago.

I just saw this thread for the first time and lots of photos don't show up and lots of links don't work! Come on commuters, put your photos back in. Sure, it's been a few years since 2004, but whatever, the photos should still be good!
I'll try to take some of my commute and add to this thread too, but in the meantime, please put your other pictures back . . . I said please.

Here are a few from my commute. I split my time between two sites, one urban and one rural.

I decided to get some extra miles in, so I took a lap of one of the more popular team riding spots in DC...speed limit for cars is 15mph, so it's the cyclists that, to a degree, rule the road. At one point I was riding behind some ladies, doing about 20mph and this pack of superbikers flew past like we were standing still...of course it's those guys who drive in from the suburbs to ride

Also, it was super nice out today...going to be 80 tomorrow, but I have to ride the motorcycle...

Leaving Alexandria VA on the way to Bethesda MD, 5:30 pm, 3/22/2012:

And on the same commute, passing through Georgetown by the canal:

Lovely weather. You can see the saddlebag support coming adrift in the Georgetown picture, I caught it before it fell off and I'll fix it this weekend. The building behind with the horse heads has been empty for years and is now a stone-mason store, behind the bike they have put a Zen garden for passers-by to play with. A lovely idea but I wonder if it will survive the revelry of a student's Friday and Saturday night in rollicking Georgetown...

Here's a couple of pics from my commute back home from work... a small detour through the local marina was in order for today because the weather was outstanding!
A view of Athens in the background with the abandoned Olympic Volleyball stadium.

Another shot of the southern suburbs of Athens with the Olympic Taekwondo stadium in the background.

...ditto san bicycle!

and finally sunset over the city of Piraeus.
