Great commute today. The weather was very spring like and I did the first commute on my new bike and left the beater in the garage. Things are supposed to return to normal (sigh) on Saturday.

Rainy and cold. But comfy in my merino jersey and happily spinning my single gear. Had a huge smile on my face as I rolled into work.

Whoops, forgot to post...very pleasant ride in this am. almost warm, lighter clothing meant I felt the ride, saw more of the sunrise, heard everything around me.

I love winter but it's been a long stretch and I have yet to experience spring bike communitng so looking forward to it!

Dang. I shoulda rode today. Weather's great. With the bad weather I hadn't been riding much and it seems that when I do I'm sapped at the end of the day. I've ridden twice this week but didn't want to ride on back-to-back days just yet.

Yeah, the weather's been perfect; but with commuting for the first part of this week through the dust and crap kicked into the air after the aggressive sanding campaign...the sinuses have taken enough of a beating that tonight is being spent off from work and riding. The head is killing me from the inside out....just brutal. :(

Perfect ride in, probably around 45-50 when I left. Even got stuck behind another bike on the bike lane. Can't wait to see more bikes out.

I'll be dodging joggers on that ride home.

Warmest morning commute for me in a long while, with temps in the mid-50s F. Also very humid, so much that my glasses were fogging up at times -- while I was moving -- and the roads were damp. My first 5-day commute of 2011 and my legs are feeling it, particularly since I also rode 60 miles last Sunday -- so that's 171 miles in 6 days.

Wasn't bad at all, I swapped out the bottom bracket and rear wheel on the bike last night, and so this morning's ride was a bit hairy. Once I got to work and finished adjusting everything, it's all good.

Was extremely foggy, so much so that my shirt was soaked, my glasses and helmet were dripping water, visibility was near zero. It was nice and comfy, though. No close calls. I saw a dead cardinal bird, passed another bike commuter (!!!!!) for the second time. I think I'm going to ride the long route as much as possible from now on.

38f Vast improvement over yesterday, if was warm enough yesterday and last night to melt the snow in the roads so everything was dry.

Lazy commute toady, I think I'm getting sick just in time for my weekend. This sucks

Called in sick yesterday, so missed the commute, but back at it this AM. Beautiful weather - 50* when I left home. Shorts and one tee-shirt. First I've ridden like that in the AM since... November? Supposed to top 70 this afternoon. Back to the 50s for highs tomorrow and 30s for highs by Tuesday with a chance of snow, I think, so the heat wave will be short lived.

Three-day weekend starts after work! Hooray! :D

Beautiful commute this morning. Low 40's and just a slight breeze. We had been getting some pretty gnarly winds the last couple days, so it was nice to wake up this morning and see that it was calm.

Commutes this week have been fun going to work with a huge tailwind, and long going home (same wind but going the other way). This is also the first week in a while to not be dealing with shoe covers, balaclava, gloves, jackets, and layers!

Wet roads but no precip. Hoping to get in a few miles at lunch or on the way home, but I'll bag it if it's pouring.

It was a nice bike commute yesterday, foggy (it cleared out in the afternoon) but it got up to 43F. Today is very windy and a high of 23F... at least there is no fog.

I yelled at some lousy ped for running in front of me forcing me to slow down and weave around him and the other peds. That brought a huge smile to my face for some reason. Then I faced a howling gale after the final turn home. Oy.

Got 4 out of 5 days in this week. All good with warm weather and some strong southerly head winds to battle on the way home most days.

Light drizzle on the way in this morning. Perfect day for fenders...

I am on vacation from job one right now so a different commute yesterday to jobs 2 and 3. We recieved about 3 feet of snow so the bike was the way to go. Moved much faster than the cars, but hill was so slick I had to walk the end as I just could not get any traction, even with studded snows on. Was so amped by the snowy ride home that I shoveled the house where I was working job 4. Today though plows could not keep up with what seemed another couple of feet of snow so I had to drive, which after shoveling for the last 3 days was not too bad, though guy on bike passed me by, I waved and smiled and felt some envy.

First day taking my son to daycare by bike then a nice ride into work. A little cool, but relaxing all the same.
