Durable 700C Wheel for spirited commuting
When I commute to work I tend to cut through a wide variety of terrain. The problem I have is the current stock 700x32 wheel setup can't take the abuse I put on it. I sometimes cut through areas of different terrain with small sudden drop offs (about the same as a curb) and would like to not have to slow down my momentum so that my rims can constantly take the punishment without going out of true frequently.
So I need some suggestions and ideas

You might want to try Velocity Chukkers, according to one review:

What rims are you riding on now, how many spokes?

It's more about the build quality and less about the components. I'd suggest getting your current wheels rebuilt by a competent professional, or better yet pick up a Park Tools spoke tensionmeter ($50) and learn to do the job yourself. You can use an upside down bike and some zipties as a truing stand. Sheldon Brown's website is a great resource.

If you're bashing over curbs, I'd suggest looking at a 29er. Something like a 47 width. Will your bike fit such a beast?
(Maybe it's time to ride like you're NOT in a Mountain Dew commercial.)
