Was in the 40's on my route to work, but clear skies. Was a bit cool, but Didn't press, got to work at about the same time as when I do.
There are days I wish I lived in a flatter neighborhood. My apartment is along a river valley, its all up hill to work. even if it is only 8 miles.

boring, i had to drive, simply because after work i have a doctors appointment abour 15 miles away and (for you biking authorities this may sound like a cop out) i'm simply just NOT ready for a commute like THAT yet.

Ride was nice.. a bird dropped a bomb on my backpack this morning though..
Warm for us - mid 60's. No dead squirrels this morning. Strangely, I didn't see any geese either. I must have been half asleep.
I have a wonderful ride in today with sunny skies and 65 for the temp with low humidity. It doesn't get any better than that for me. This afternoon will be harder though - my first commute with temps in the 90's.

I had a nice ride in using my new clipless pedals and shoes; well almost new, I've been using them for a few days now. Have to remember to release my shoes when I come to a stop, hasn't become second nature yet. I had the same problem with clips too. Someone yesterday ran over a squirrel and I thought how unlikely that would be but today a kamikaze minded squirrel tried me but he or I managed to avoid each other. Very nice to be riding to work, nothing like a ride with a purpose!

My buddy is the reigning masters crit State Champ and he's keen to defend his jersey in August. And thus he's seriously putting the hurt on me during our prework training rides. Either I'm going be in the best shape of my life, or be dead.
Gorgeous morning, by the way. The Delta breeze has cleared the smoke out of the Valley for now.

I got honked at at least a dozen times this morning.
A little muggy and wet out on my commute home this evening...a little uncomfortable. Better than the sun, though

Bikes: 80's peugeot. Somewhat knackered. Lovely new Salsa Casseroll singlespeed.
Windy ride in today. Makes it much harder work up the hills!
Otherwise very nice. I'd like a longer commute, but the problem is I'm too lazy to leave a bit earler in the morning in order to take in a more circuitous route.
Perhaps I need to look for somewhere to live that's further away from work. (Or find a job that's further away. Hmmm....!)

Almost 400 miles logged in June. Yay!
Sick kid and child care complications keeping me grounded this week. Boo!
Saturday we leave on a 2-week vacation! Yay
No riding planned while we're away. Boo!
Getting my bike cleaned & tuned up while I'm away. Yay!
Probably won't log more than 100 miles in July. Boo!
But 100 miles is better than none.

Nice ride home. Sunny and the wind had swung around so it was at my back. Temps up in the low 80s. Now I'm sipping a margarita.

I was able to dodge the thunderstorm that passed through the area. took the long way home again-think that might be a permanent change. it was very warm and humid, but I am getting used to that now. Overall, it was a nice ride, and happily, 'get killed' free.

Hard ride to work, 20mph head wind in 80 degree weather, but the ride home was easy. Wind at my back made it easy and enjoyable even though the temperature was 95 degrees.

Another day in paradise. 80 degrees and I only hit one red light going and returning from work. Then I took the boys out in the trailer to pick mulberries in the park.
today was...great.
I rode into work in great time in great cool early morning weather (it was 515am when I left my homestead)...I rode into a workout we like to call "The 12 Days of Christmas"...props to anyone who knows what it is.
we then ran 6 miles at lunch time, and then I rode home with some ICY ICY IIIIIIIICY cold water in my camelbakpack...great day.

Almost got right hooked by a Metro bus on the way home... while I was in the bike lane too...He started to turn into the bus parking lot with no warning. Lucky for me the driver noticed me and hit the brakes before crushing me.

It was chilly enough that I wore arm warmers this AM-Who would've thunk it? arm warmers in July in North Carolina. Was very nice though, felt like a mid-Sept morning. I rode hard and fast and did the 13.0 miles in 44 minutes.

Bloated, tired, sore, a little dehydrated and hung over with a heavy, uncomfortable backpack-it wasn't my best ride, but, at least, I didn't chicken out and drive. The weather was perfect though, hopefully I'll be in better shape this afternoon; couldn't be worse.

it seemed a little drier this morning but there was a bit of a haze...i had good energy since i had some green tea and a granola bar before my ride
it's really nice to bike through the school zones and not have all kinds of traffic to deal with since school is out
