Encountered my first inconsiderate driver, today... funny enough he had two lanes to himself and still passed not even half a yard from me.
Other than that it was great... freezing, though, first you ride in the upper 70s and next thing you know it's in the lower 50s. BRRRR... should've packed a jacket.

Great weather both ways. Caught a few honks from my fellow workers. Jealous bastards, Ha...

Awesome ride home at the start. First tail wind in weeks and missed all the rain squalls.
However, I ended it by having the bike slip out for under me going around a corner and shredding my left side. Curse pine needles and rain. Taking a few days off til the swelling in my hip goes down.
On a happier note I just hit rolled over 1k miles for the year.

Outstanding.
A total bucolic overload.

Great going in, but kind of scary going out. I had a sculpture class tonight, due north, which required riding along the waterfront. What a &%&% mess. Traffic was awful. &%&* SUV's. Then I still had to ride home after class. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ride the scooter on class nights. Oh well.

Zipping alone on bike lane going 20mph... having a blast and... someone on new Hyundai swerves into bike lane slows down (looked like to me making right turn)... throws some trashes through moon roof... almost hit the curve and than speed up to get back to car lane. Took me a little while to register the trashes were for me I suppose. Since I was going at decent clip, had plenty of chances to memorize the license plate but the car didn't have one... yet.
Suppose there will be first time for just about anything... getting punched from side, chided by someone who doesn't know traffic law, etc.

A good ride in at 62f (17C). Pleasant weather, but it will turn hot tomorrow and will stay that way on Friday. That will make a large variance in the temps for the week.

I have not ridden to work since last Wednesday, it was good getting back to biking. Anyway a very light rain on my way in this am. The roads barely got wet. Other than that it was a quiet ride in. Hopefully there will be no pop-up showers on my way home, which they are predicting. Time will tell.

A bit chilly this AM, and it is suppose to be over 100 Friday. Anyway, I am off friday. I plan to lay by the pool or sit in the house. It is good being me.

60F/16C and overcast but no rain. The roads were damp in places from last night's rain. Headwind.

Bike to work day, and first day back on the bike in a month. I crashed my beach cruiser on memorial day and broke a collar bone and cracked three ribs, so this is the first day back in the saddle.
Feels good to be back in the saddle even for a short distance.

Very strong head wind this morning. Lot of rain. Nice ride anyway, less traffic.

It was 50 when I left the house, shorts weather. I think I'll try wearing sandles tomorrow with socks in the morning (this is Oregon, we do that here) and see if my feet freeze. Nice ride. I only got passed by one car in 9 miles. I love the inversion at the top of the ridge I ride over; not only does it feel warmer but the smells are more vivid.
I'm enjoying my brief period of daylight morning rides. I guess the days must be starting to get shorter already.

55º, no wind. Mostly green lights. Hardly any traffic. No close calls. Made it to work in record time.

Nice. Was able to get in a few miles before work. I would have liked to join the Wednesday night group ride tonight but I promised my soccer-mad son we'd watch the Spain-Portugal semi when I get home. No spoilers!

I'm going straight through an intersection. The light is green. I'm going straight. A guy on a scooter coming from the opposite direction starts to make a left directly in front of me. By the way, I'm going straight. I slow down. he stops and starts yelling "YOU GOTTA SIGNAL! YOU GOTTA TELL ME WHERE YOU'RE GOING!"
If any of you guys can tell me how I'm supposed to signal "straight", fill me in.

No helmet. He wasn't signaling his turn either. I have no idea what he was trying to do. I yelled back at him and made it pretty clear that I was going straight. It was really weird. I think the heat is getting to people here. It'll be 100+ the rest of the week.

Supposedly there was a heat advisory today, but I didn't think it was that bad. Great commuting both ways, and I set a new high speed (31 MPH) on the fixed-gear.

Hey Burglar, only one signal you can give them... Got a commute ride in and then took my wife for a bay trail ride. We stopped at the new Rosie the Riveter center and then had dinner at "The Boiler Room". The manager let us park our bikes inside. Pretty cool, we also reserved seats for the July 3rd fireworks.
