Perfect month that's not easy either and it's what I usually aim for.

I find that, although my legs may be cool to start, they warm up pretty quickly and I'm able to ride in shorts at lower temperatures than I can go with a short-sleeved jersey. I was fine this morning with a light long-sleeved jersey over my short-sleeved jersey but a couple of Celcius degrees less, I'll need something warmer on my upper half.
well, this morning was a degree warmer (53F) and I wore pants and was cold - go figure! I felt slow this morning. I'm attributing it to stopping and smelling the roses though I did neither (stop or smell)

It's what you get used to. In May, I went on a 100km ride and although it started at 15C (59F) and finished at 18C (64F), all in mostly sun, I was cold the whole way, despite the time and effort and wearing what I wore today. The next day's ride back was much nicer, short-sleeved jersey and shorts the whole way.

Impressive! I find that I need rest days every now and then, and that's what keeps me from long strings of commute days. The weather was perfect this week and I was tempted to ride every day, but my legs were feeling tired and beat up on Wednesday so I rested on Thursday. My legs felt 100% better this morning, so I know it was the right choice for me. My daily commute is about 31 miles round trip, so that's another factor. Riding 30+ miles a day can be a lot of wear and tear on the body.

Bikes: Trek Verve Ebike and Surly Wednesday

Daughter dropped me off at the park to referee. Game ended early due to mercy rule. Had a pleasant 10 mile ride home in the 70's. It was almost completely dark by the time I got home, but I had lots of blinkies on. The last mile is along the river and the bugs were awful. I need to remember to pack some clear glasses for these dusk rides.

Congrats! 100 consecutive days is awesome. I'd love to get to 100 days in a year. I commute by motorcycle most days.

My commute is not as far as yours, currently, it is 44.4km (27.5mi) RT and I found that at first, I could only do 3 days/wk, then I could do 4 days in a row and now, although I can feel in my legs that I put in an effort that finished about 2.5hrs ago, I will be fine to go home for the 5th day in a row. I also find that the 45min walk with the dog in the evenings helps loosen up any stiffness that might develop in the evening. Some days, I do the rides home, well never easy because of the hills, easier with less push on the uphill and more gliding on the downhill and take more stops for drinks rather than while riding (although, since it is a Friday, maybe a detour past the new pub might be in order for tonight).

Unfortunately, once again not too well.

Rabid dogs disguised as so-called "colleagues", stole one of my LED flashlight front head light, just for "fun" (actually, they didn't get the headlight mount...)

What's worst then working on a friday when you usually work from monday to thursday? It's going to work with the van instead of the bike, it's my first time in the van since 22 may. I have a 130 kms (80 miles) ride with some friends tomorow so it would've been 6 days of bike in a row with a daily commute of 55 kms (34 miles) so I voluntarily took a day off to be in a good shape tomorow. I feel bad today but I guess it's the best thing to do.

Have a nice week end everyone.

Other than nearly getting left hooked, it wasn't so bad. The driver was still wrong, but in retrospect, I should have anticipated it better.

Misty but not full-on rain, and the cloud cover bumped the temperature a bit from the almost-frosty mornings we've been having this week; a very pleasant ride. Also this morning's ride carried me through the 1000km mark for September - I always get a little extra burst of motivation when the 4-digit accumulated distance approaches.

I was very hungover, but I figured it would be a good cure to ride in. Nice day, a little cool for shorts and short sleeves, but I wore them anyway.

Anthonybkny, that's my route too. Vanderbilt, Flushing, up the middle bikeway, onto the Manhattan Bridge, and either up Allen/1st Ave, or down Allen to the East Side Bikeway and up that to 37th St.

Perfectly still this morning, calm before our fiscal storm here in DC I suppose. Looks to be a warm week.

Wet from lots of rain yesterday and foggy. Great Fall smells. On the ride home Friday I ticked over the 3,000 mile commuting mark for the year

Our beautiful weather continues, and it looks like another week of sunny dry weather with mild temps here. I will finish September with about 916 total miles, my highest monthly total when I didn't ride a bike tour. The weather has been a big factor in that because it's been too nice not to ride. I have had some challenges, however, like the broken water heater at work forcing me to take cold showers for the past 3 weeks and counting. Ironically, I had planned to ride a tour this month but haven't been able to work it out due to a number of complications, but hopefully will get away some week in October.

47 degrees, a little chilly but not onerous.

On the plus side, the new saddle made a WORLD of difference today.

Which kind of saddle is it? I'm still searching for the holy grail so I'm wondering...

Specialized Phenom Comp Gel : https://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftb...henom-comp-gel

My LBS is getting out of the "Specialized" business and will be only dealing in Trek, so they're selling off all their Spesh merch and I'd heard good things about their body geometry saddles. Went in, got fitted, went with this one.

It leans toward the MTB side rather than the road bike side, and it's on my Cross bike, so that makes sense. The stock saddle on that bike was quite possibly the most painful saddle I ever rode before. It's early, but with the stock saddle the pain was pretty much immediate, so I'm hoping this one works well long-temr. I realized when I got to work today that I never once thought, "Ow, my A$$ hurts."

Drove in today while nursing a hockey injury. Note to self: don't fall on your tail bone.

Foggy, 48 degF, generally calm, a pretty good ride in this morning. The traffic was fairly light and I met another commuter when I got into the city. That was a shocker, they are so rare. I occasionally see other riders in street clothes, no helmet, riding on the wrong side of the road and going very slow but I hardly ever see a serious commuter going to work.
