I'd rather get the flu than a cold. I get really sick for a day, and then it's over. Colds are just a nuisance, but a long one. I just live life as if my cold wasn't there; I'm not willing to let it get me down.

By the way, you should have titled your thread "Riding wib a cold: Your surbibal tagtigs?"

If I'm not well enough to ride, I'll simply work from home.

It's a good opportunity to let the mucous to do its job. Sniff in a lot, and spit it out. The mucous carries away the nasty bacteria.

When I have a cold/flu like symtoms I still commute to work but I wear an extra layer of clothes. I try to sweat out the as much as possble. Since I have been in Japan, I drink a glass or two of warm Green tea which has caffiene and antoxidants to help the body. I only use over the counter medicine as a last option when having a cold.
