Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter
I totally lack imagination, so it's who I am and where I am.

The very first internet forum I signed up for, many, many years ago was a musician oriented BBS.
I used this 'handle' for that site and just stuck with it.

We have a few clerics here. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. My former rabbi is also a big cyclist, though she isn't a member of bikeforums. Maybe I should invite her.

Ya know, this question has been asked before, but the responses are interestinger (to coin a word) than before. I don't know why.

Spoiledrotten is not exactly what it means in the sense that I'm not a brat, never have been but my second marriage has been something very special. (If I'd known that, I'd have skipped the first one). Anyway, our love and affection for each other is such that we spoil each other with affection, respect, and of course, material things, etc.. When we got our 5th wheel, we decided to name it SPOILEDROTTEN. The name has stuck with me since. The little wife's goes by Totallyrotten and our daughter goes by Alittlerotten. So, we are the rotten bunch.

I love driving the GSR if it's not a bunch of traffic. I'm a die-hard manual gearbox guy, I would go crazy if my car were an automatic slushbox. The slow death of the proper manual gearbox in America pains me greatly.

How about we add something about our avatar/profile pic? Mine is the logo of my favorite 80's superhero toys and cartoons, M.A.S.K. or Mobile Armored Strike Kommand. It was a group of people who fought the "bad guy" organization using these cool vehicles that could change into something else, i.e. a flying Camaro, a motorcycle turned helicopter, a jeep with a speed boat inside, etc.

My avatar is currently my Kona Sutra bike but sometimes I'll switch it to my KHS Tempe 29er.

I use that MASK avatar on a bunch of forums. I used to have it on my Facebook profile but recently changed that to a Bikes May Use Full Lane sign.

I'll do my old one I guess, it was Peter Falk aka Columbo, who was a big part of my childhood my family was very much into that show.. I even used to use the sig line "Just one more question" something about the seemingly bumbling detective who in actuality was smarter than anyone around him always appealed to me.

heh yeah MASK didn't catch on nearly as much as say, Transformers, but I've always loved motor vehicles of all kinds which is why MASK appealed to me in particular when I was a kid.

Which is surprising to me since I also love cars and grew up a mechanics son and a mechanic until I finished University. When was it on television?

People from NC are called Tarheels, so obviously a cyclist from NC would be called a Tarwheel.
One of the local bike clubs is called the Carolina Tarwheels.

My handle represents my contempt for the "rat race" and consumer culture. It started off as an inside joke between me and my long time girlfriend (we don't believe in marriage, either) many years ago. So a 'cobra bite' is anything that rebels against participating in the established norm, like riding a bike vs. driving...though admittedly my bike collection could be considered unnecessary materialism.

I also use the handle scoff_law on other websites.
