Biking in Hamilton

I love road biking in Dundas Ontario. So many good hills and nice variation. I like Sydenham, Crooks Hollow, Inksetter, Old Ancaster, and Mineral Springs.

Have you done the Paris to Ancaster race?

The St George to Ancaster is great. Looking forward to 4th attempt with a goal to break 2h or top 200 of 550+ riders.
Who knows how long it will be 40 became 44 km in 2018?

They also extended the 70K (Paris) route by a bit. Didn't know, so started pushing a bit too early based on the previous years distance.

Although, either way I still wouldn't have made it up the hill

Doing it again this year, thinking of using the Fat bike in the 70Km

Training ride crash on March 20 ( hemi-arthroscopy and separated shoulder).
Done for a few months so no chance to repeat age group win.

Good luck to you.

It's 5 km from my house to the top of the Chedoke Rail trail on the West Hamilton mountain, from there I can hook up to the Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail, and from Brantford head out to Port Dover, all on the gravel rail trails. Just tried out the new bike on a 30km ride , getting off the rail trail at Sulpher Springs road and taking Sulpher Srpings back up into Ancaster and then home. Entered in the family 20km ride as a first timer in the Paris to Ancaster race. Probably could do the 40km event, maybe next year.

Hoping to hook up with some of the Free Wheel Cycle rides this year.

That Old Ancaster road is pretty narrow for my liking, lots of traffic on it
