This is a little late to answer but I only just saw your post. That velo is quite literally a 'steal' for $300!!! The frame alone is worth 3X that - and it looks in fine shape. Looks like Campy cranks so I'm assuming it has a Campy grouppo. And it has index shifting and an 'Ahead' head and stem, so it has been updated. Marinoni ceased making lugged frames years ago except for his 'Anniversary' specials which are selling for more than $3k for a complete bike. His old lugged frames are great frames. I have 2 complete Marinoni velos in my basement. One built in the 80s and one in the early 90s. I simply love them. They are marvellous machines. I also have a TREK Madone 6.5 too, so I'm not a complete retro 'freak' but my old steel velos have more soul. If you get this bike I think you'll be very happy with it. My only caution to you is try to find out discreetly WHY it's been sold so cheap??? It's certainly worth a lot more.

Yeah, that's a smokin deal, but the frame looks a tad on the large side for me.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Giuseppe Marinoni twice this past year at both of his hour record attempts. Got his autograph on my "Day of the Hour" Tee shirt on the day that he set the world record for his age category.

Not buying either.

It's a 7 hour drive. If I knew someone there I'd take a run at it for that price but since I know no one there or near there Iisted it hoping someone else might rescue.....
