bike computer and Android

Im looking for a computer that will work with my Android phone, I have a Samsung Note 4 running Android 5.0.1, blutooth 4 and Ant+. I really like the idea of using my phone as the heart of it and I really don't feel like buying a computer that is worth the same as my bike. I've been looking at the Wahoo RFLKT+ and the Cateye Strada Smart. I know the RFLKT+ has compatibility issues with android but will still work if using the Wahoo fitness app. I can get both for just about the same price 120 for the RFKLT+ and 110 for the strada smart. I intend to buy the Wahoo blue SC speed and cadence sensor and maybe a heartrate monitor.

Which one would you suggest, are there other similar product for about the same price?

I have the massively popular and beloved CatEye Strada double wireless that includes a cadence sensor but you'd need the "Strada Smart" if you want the CatEye computer with Bluetooth to communicate with your smartphone.

I use the RFLKT with my Droid Turbo running 5.0.1 and it works pretty well. I have BT smart cadence sensor and a Scosche HRM. The biggest problem I had was trying to get a chest strap HRM to connect with the phone when it's in the underseat bag. Like you, didn't want to invest in a dedicated computer that does the same thing a free app does.

Thx guys, I found the Garmin edge 500 with speed/cadence sensor and HRM belt kit for pretty much the same price than my 2 other options and was wondering how good it was.

I'm really curious about this, as well. My employer reimburses for $300 of fitness-related gear, twice a year. Right now, for that money, I can get:

1) Something like a Strada Wireless for cadence, with my years-old Forerunner 205 watch for GPS, plus a new helmet and other goodies.
2) An Edge 25 plus cadence or Edge 500 plus cadence, plus a new helmet.
3) An Edge 510 or 520

I'm using the Wahoo cadence counter along with their android app. I don't have the RFLKT unit so I'm using the Wahoo app on my phone for speed and cadence. It is working great and while the screen stays on the whole ride, I'm not having an issue with my battery. I still have almost half left after a 5 hour ride. I like the screen better than the one used by MapMyRide, bit bold readouts along with audio.

I may upgrade to the RFLKT sometime if battery life becomes an issue or if I want additional features but for now I'm pretty happy with this setup.

That's a quality computer, and the bundle has just about everything you could need as a cyclist. But keep in mind it's an older computer. It was the top of the line when it was new and it's still a great system, but because of its age it won't do things like bluetooth integration with your phone. What you get is great battery life, a waterproof and shockproof unit, GPS for ride analytics but not for navigation, and your phone will still have a full charge at the end of your ride.

I missed the sale by 1 day so I went with a Cateye strada smart double wireless, maybe later ill get something better, but I think for now that should do rather well, and since my note 4 as a monster battery on it shouldnt matter much.
