RFLKT+ and Cycling App with Auto-Pause

Good afternoon everyone. Not yet ready to spend too much money on a cycling computer (with my wedding only nine months away, my fiancée is keeping my cycling budget restricted) I picked up the RFLKT+ and have paired it with the speed and cadence sensor from Bontrager that fits into my Emonda frame. So far, I've been using the Wahoo fitness app and it's been working great. My only complaint is the lack of auto-pause functionality. Any suggestions for an Android cycling app that will use the speed data from my ANT+ sensor, pair with the RFLKT+ and has auto-pause functionality? Seems like there might be a couple options for the iPhone, but I'm an Android user.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thx.

G

If she's got you restricted on the cycling budget, then maybe the phone budget would be open for an upgrade to an iPhone?

Try Strava for android. The latest version has auto pause. You're right about iOS. The iPhone version of the Wahoo Fitness App is loaded with cool features like auto-lap and auto-pause, all of which can be setup for audio feedback.

Thanks, but I thought the auto-pause worked off the GPS readings, or will the Strava app use the data from the ANT+ speed/cadence sensor?

Unfortunately, Strava won't use the speed sensor, but it will use cadence and power. Hopefully, Wahoo will update their app for us lowly android users to include the auto-pause feature.

I submitted a ticket to Wahoo yesterday on this feature and they responded that it is in the works but have no ETA. The rep said he would pass my note along to the engineering team. Here's hoping it's sooner than later.

Thank you for doing that. That is very good news. Next up: auto-lap annunciation based on passing a marked position. Ill be shouting Wahoo from the mountaintops when that is available.

If you have a few free minutes some time, go to Wahoo's website and put in a ticket for both. Never hurts to let them know we're anxiously awaiting these updates.

I'm surprised that you are able to use your Ant+ S/C sensor on a Droid. Their web site specifically states:

Note: The ANT+ bridge feature is not available for Android, however the unit still works with an Android device. Our Wahoo Fitness Android app (on select phones) works with ANT+ directly, so there is no need for a bridge.

Does your phone have the Ant+ feature built into it? Curious to know.
