just got the new Garmin Vector 2 pedals and power meter

Seems i have to calibrate it each time i ride?
is this normal?
also what is the best way to calibrate?
seems i just have to sit still for a minute or so for it to take effect?
any suggestions?

Yes, calibrate before every ride. Calibration process depends on the head unit you're using, but generally a matter of pressing the power meter icon and selecting "calibrate" through the menu.
